The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart novel Chapter 778

The private dining room was left with only Mila and her son, Nathan. The cold demeanor Mila previously held evaporated, "Tell me, what does it take for you to come home?"

"Don't force me to join the family business or oppose my marriage, and I'll return."

Nathan didn’t want the situation to escalate, "Mom, I have a promising future here in Imperial City. I don’t want to return to H city."

No matter how good H city was, it couldn't accommodate him.

In Imperial City, he has already established his own career.

Why would he return to H city?

"If you don't want to return to the Jarvis family, then marry Megan." Mila changed her strategy, "I can't accept Kari; her family background is too poor."

Megan, on the other hand, was the daughter of the Campbell family, one of the four major families in H city. Her family background was excellent.

Kari, a girl raised in a single-parent family, could not be compared with Megan.

"No." Nathan shook his head, "I have no feelings for Megan. I only want to be with Kari."

"Then return to the Jarvis family." Mila laid out her terms, "If you want to be with Kari, you must return. I’ll accept her since you liked her so much, but Kari must change her social status."

The Jarvis family was influential, and Jacob, Nathan's brother, had established a strong position in the company. If Nathan married a woman without social status, he would only be at a disadvantage.

Mila didn’t like Kari, but if it would make Nathan yield, she could find a way to elevate Kari's status significantly.

"No." Nathan shook his head again, "I won't return, and I won't marry Megan. Mom, don't force me."

He was not the Nathan from ten years ago, no longer threatened by the Jarvis family.

Mila's face turned pale, evidently not expecting Nathan to be so firm.

The two parted on bad terms.

Nathan went to the restroom, waiting for Kari.

Kari came out from the stall, walked to the sink, and turned on the faucet.

Megan walked up behind her, shedding her previous gentleness, a hint of dissatisfaction lurking, "Ms. Malone, please leave Nathan."
