The Billionaire's Maid Bride novel Chapter 140

The man's disdainful look at her was deeply etched in Allison’s memory. The misunderstandings between her and Lucian were simply too deep to be explained one by one, and he wouldn't believe her anyway.

Allison closed her eyes, feeling incredibly worn out.

Her body slowly slumped onto the couch, the soft cushions making her even more tired.

She started to dream, and the scene in her dream was a wedding.

She was standing next to Lucian, and in front of her was a white lace veil. Through the veil, she felt this man's gentleness for the first time.

The scene was so pure and dreamy.

Then the scene suddenly changed.

She remembered the first time she met Lucian.

He was drugged by someone, and she told him her name was Penelope.

These scenes flashed rapidly through Allison's mind.

She felt dizzy even in her dreams, as if standing at the edge of a cliff and falling down.

When Allison woke up, her back was soaked in cold sweat and her body was trembling.

She picked up the cup of water, found it had become cold, took a sip, and her throat felt somewhat comfortable.

When Lucian walked out of the conference room, Shawn was reporting to him. As they walked to the door of the CEO's office, Shawn suddenly remembered Allison and hurriedly said to Lucian, "Mr. Lindbergh, Ms. Zimmer is here; she's in the lounge."

Lucian stopped in his tracks.

"Allison?"

"Yes, Ms. Zimmer has been waiting for you there for an hour."

"Let her come to the office."
