The Billionaire's Maid Bride novel Chapter 177

Lucian watched Penelope try to stifle a smile, leaving him a bit flustered but amused. Clearing his throat, he turned his face and suggested, "If you're bored, feel free to roam around the yard. I'm staying in the back; I can have the maid take you there."

In Carter's study, George lounged on the couch and announced, "Grandpa, I'm back. I'll be around for a few days and gotta make another trip at the end of the month."

George's mother was of mixed race, giving him a handsome face with striking features. His deep-set eyes, coupled with his chestnut mid-length hair, gave him a somewhat soft demeanor.

However, he also inherited the good genes of the Lindberg family, with all of the younger generations bearing a certain resemblance.

"Stay a little longer. Aidan is back too. Your brothers should hang out more," Carter Lindberg had a fondness for George, whose father, Waldron Lindberg, was his eldest son. When the Lindberg family businesses were divided, he made a fuss and insisted on managing the Nova Haven branch, a key financial area for the Lindberg family.

"I know, I will," George replied. "I brought your favorite Nova Haven pastries and authentic Nova Haven white wine this time. My mom herself brewed the wine. She's learned a lot during her years in Nova Haven. This year, she picked up wine brewing. You must give it a try."

"You're such a sweetheart," Carter nodded.

"Have you met Penelope yet? Lucian's fiancée. They just had their engagement party recently."

"I have; she’s a striking woman. I've been swamped with the financial report of Nova Haven for the first half of the year, so I didn't make it to the engagement party. I'll definitely be there for their wedding."

George played a few rounds of chess with Carter in the study, losing every time. Not that he was letting him win, Carter was just a much better player.

"Grandpa, you're still as sharp as ever."

The old man lowered his eyelids, "George, you know I hate family feuds. I may be old, but as long as I'm alive, I like to see harmony in the family."

George responded solemnly, "I understand, Grandpa. I'll remember that."
