Allison thought Jason's invitation was just a polite gesture; she didn't take it seriously and kept working as usual.

But on Sunday, when Allison got her schedule for the next week, she wasn't on it. She immediately went to Sarah, who told her, “Didn't you ask for time off?”

“I took time off?” Allison widened her eyes. “When did I ask for time off?”

Sarah lit a cigarette and said, “Jason did it for you.”

“Jason, at least, you should have asked me if I agreed to it.”

“You didn't reject me last time, so I took it as a yes,” Jason said. “Think of it as a getaway; I won't do anything to you, Allison, unless you're expecting something. I'm a gentleman, you know!”

Allison pressed her lips together, somewhat amused and annoyed. “Jason, you're twisting the truth.”

“So, it's settled then; pack your essentials; see you tomorrow.”

Allison sighed, “Alright then.”
