The Billionaire's Maid Bride novel Chapter 278

Lucian grabbed his phone, found Allison's contact, and started to dial. However, the call couldn't get through.

He was taken aback for a second, then it dawned on him. This woman had blocked his number!

Allison, how dared she!

...

Allison got home.

The second she walked in, the smell of a warm meal filled the air. She was stunned, "Mom, what did you make?"

She walked into the kitchen and saw Grace busy cooking in her apron.

Grace said with a smile, "I'm fixing you some pastas. You must be tired from work. It'll be ready soon."

Allison went over, hugged Grace from behind, and buried her face in Grace's thin shoulders, "Mom, it's so good to have you at home."

Grace was the only family she had left.

However, there was one question bugging Allison. Why didn't her DNA match with Grace's? She dared not think too much about it. She was scared.

At that moment, Allison hugged Grace tightly.

Grace held a spatula in one hand, and patted Allison's hand lightly with the other, "Let go. The pasta is ready."

The aroma of the pasta filled the air, making her mouth water.

The dining room was brightly lit and cozy. On the table was a plate of pasta with delicious sauce.

"Mom, you should eat too." Allison said.

"I can't digest if I eat too much at night. I'm not eating." Grace said.

Allison took a bite with her fork. It tasted just like it used to. Suddenly, she felt a lump in her throat, which was noticed by Grace, "What's wrong? Has mom's cooking skills gone downhill?"

"No, it's just." Allison's voice choked, "It's been so long since I've eaten your pasta. They're really good. You haven't slipped at all. They're even better!"
