The Billionaire's Maid Bride novel Chapter 637

This morning, like clockwork, the entire cast gathered for the script read-through.

Out of nowhere, Tyler, the assistant, popped in to inform Wade that Kenneth, the producer, wanted to see him.

When Wade stepped into the conference room, he found Emma, Allison's agent, already there.

Emma started, “Allison told me last night that she wants to take a step back and hopes Aaron gets the lead role.”

Wade raised an eyebrow, clearly taken aback. He wasn’t expecting Emma to say that, let alone Allison to think it. In a world where actors would do anything for top billing, with fans often at each other's throats, this was the first time he’d seen someone willingly step aside.

And it wasn’t just Wade; the producers, all seasoned pros in the entertainment industry, were taken aback too.

Everyone's faces reflected their surprise.

Wade looked at Emma, “Are you sure these are Allison’s words?”

Emma nodded, “Allison said that Aaron’s acting skills and experience are top-tier. She feels she has a lot to learn from him. Even though the film is female-led, she still hopes Aaron takes the lead.”

One of the producers chipped in, “Aaron’s exceptional. There’s no question of him being overshadowed.”

Emma added, “Allison said even an exceptional role deserves an exceptional lead.”

The producers were momentarily stunned.

But Wade’s eyes showed a flicker of admiration.

Maybe Allison wasn’t as bad as he’d thought. At least, her character seemed solid.

Acknowledging a senior and willingly offering the lead role was commendable. This shifted Wade’s perception of Allison quite a bit.
