The Billionaire's Maid Bride novel Chapter 640

Fans often rave about how reliable he is, never one to stir up drama by dissing others' performances, and he's always giving a helping hand to the newbies in the industry. Working on a film with Aaron? It's like a dream come true.

Aaron flashed a grin, “Come on, Victoria, you gossiping too?”

“Guilty as charged! I’m just curious, you know. Hey, Wade, don’t you wanna know? Aaron, the guy who’s been in the game for a decade, starred in a ton of movies, Mr. Scandal-Free himself, getting all cozy with a rookie actress.”

Wade chimed in, “Of course, I’m curious. After all, they’re my leads.”

Victoria nodded, taking a bite of her steak, “Honestly, Allison is just perfect for Irene. It’s like the role was tailor-made for her. The first time I saw Allison’s headshot, I was blown away. Not sure about her acting chops yet, but that’s something we can hone. What’s really key is the right look.” She eyed Aaron, “Truth be told, you weren’t the first pick for Shane. He’s supposed to be this greenhorn cop, and you come off more... seasoned. But I know there’s no faulting your acting skills. So, spill the beans, Aaron. Did you sign on because Allison’s the leading lady?”

Aaron coughed, “Is it that obvious?”

“You got a thing for her?” Victoria glanced around to ensure no paparazzi were lurking before lowering her voice.

Wade’s eyes widened with intrigue.

Aaron confessed, “I’ve known her for a while now. Met her about a year and a half ago. Back then, she wasn’t even in show business, but she struck me as someone... different. Her eyes were so clear, you know? Even when people were putting her down, bullying her, she stood her ground. Pure as crystal.”

“She’s definitely got that clean-cut vibe,” Victoria said, “That kind of pure aura, her polite and cultured way of speaking. I remember when some dirt came out about her, and it blew up big time. I even got threats to kill off her character and bring in another lead actress. I flat-out refused to cave. Looking back, sticking to my guns was the right call.”

Allison answered Lucian’s call.

After a brief exchange, she leaned against the windowsill and drew the curtains to shield against prying eyes.
