The Billionaire’s Secret Quartet novel Chapter 225

Though sneakers can't give her that royal, elegant vibe, they sure do make her feel secure.

Faye was so pissed her foundation was about to crack.

Her breathing hitched, but she tried hard to keep her anger at bay.

Being the heiress of the Brennan group, she had to stay cool and composed. She shouldn't act like Thalassa, the rude chick who lost her crap.

Thalassa stepped out of the Sinclair group, bumping into Hertha parking her car in the lot.

Noticing her, Thalassa approached, "Hertha, what brings you here?"

"Thalassa, I'm here to pay the compensation. David told me yesterday I needed to wire the money to his account by this afternoon. But all I have is cash," Hertha said, patting her purse.

Thalassa quickly grabbed her arm, whispering, "Keep it low-key so that you won't get rubbed."

Hertha got cautious, lowering her voice, "Should I go find David then?"

Thalassa guided her into the car and hopped in, "You said David asked you to wire the money to his account. Did he give you the account number?"

Hertha nodded, "Yes, he texted it to me." She showed Thalassa the text on her phone.

Thalassa saw a string of digits, the bank account number.

She said, "Your cash is from your parents, right? Give it back to them. I'll transfer you five grand, then you can wire that to David."

Hertha's parents were both civil servants with stable jobs and decent salaries.

Although Hertha was working, she'd always spend her entire salary each month.

Thalassa knew that Hertha wouldn't have five grand, so Hertha must've asked her parents.
