Why did Wyatt keep tolerating and forgiving his brother, who kept messing things up and who was unable to accomplish anything?
Wyatt was practically becoming a saint!
“Brother, I was led astray for a moment. In the future, I will definitely lead by example and never repeat my mistakes! Please focus on recuperating. I won’t disturb you anymore.”
After Wyatt reassured him, Cameron prepared to leave in satisfaction.
“Wyatt, I’ll see Cameron out.” Mila stood up and spoke in a gentle voice.
Cameron walked out of the ward first, smirking smugly.
Before he got far, Mila’s voice came from behind him. “Stop right there.”
Cameron turned around, and before he could adjust his expression, he saw Mila walking swiftly toward him with an icy expression.
Slap!
Before he could react, Mila raised her hand and gave him a fierce slap.
“You… What did you slap me for?!” Cameron’s eyes widened, his ears buzzed, and his cheeks were marked with an embarrassing handprint.
“You know why.”
Mila’s elegant face was now filled with strong hostility, totally incomparable to the gentle and beautiful lady in the ward just now. “I’ve waited too long to give you this slap. When Wyatt was rushed into the hospital because of you, I should’ve stormed over to slap your filthy mouth until it bled!”
At this moment, no one was around, so Cameron shed his hypocritical mask, revealing a malicious and mocking sneer at Mila.
“Ha… Do you really think you are the Chairman’s wife just because he took you in? Shamelessly clinging to my brother... You’re just like the other two, merely playthings my brother kept by his side for amusement. The only reason you get to play the part of Mrs. Thompson outside now is because my sister-in-law died early, giving you the chance to strut around. Otherwise, who do you think you are? You’re no more than a mistress!”
