Dinner was quite pleasant.
Upon seeing the dumplings, Wyatt’s mood improved immensely. He even invited Justin to join them for the meal.
At the table, everything seemed proper and formal. However, things were quite the opposite under the table.
Late at night, Asher returned to his study to tackle the towering stack of documents awaiting him.
His father’s illness had already thrown the KS Group into turmoil, and Cameron was making his move to gain assets, which added to Asher’s headaches.
Fortunately, Asher could stabilize the situation, and the company was back on track.
After working for a while, he finally removed his silver-framed glasses and pinched his nose bridge to relieve the strain.
“Phew, I’m so tired... I wonder when that girl will let me retire.”
Just then, someone knocked on the door.
Asher got up and opened it.
“Mr. Thompson.”
Leaning casually against the doorframe in a white lab coat, Arnold’s charming, fox-like eyes curved in a smile. “Are you interested in a private, late-night massage service?”
Asher’s tired eyes looked him up and down, a deep gaze taking in every detail. “Since when did you add this to your repertoire, Dr. Larson?”
“Well, I’m a man of many talents.”
Arnold’s eyes brimmed with endless affection. “I’ll always be at your service, whenever you need it.”
Asher felt his throat tightening, his Adam’s apple bobbing as his eyes subtly reddened at the corners.
