“Alright then. I was going to call them, too.”
Drew’s expression suddenly darkened. “I have something important to discuss with you all tonight.”
…
Soon, Axel and Ralph joined the table.
The three Thompson brothers, along with the couple, gathered around the dining table, turning the kitchen into an impromptu conference room.
“Drew, we’re here now. Stop keeping us in suspense and show us what you’ve got,” Axel urged, munching on a drumstick.
Drew retorted, “Ax, why so anxious?”
Axel flung a chicken bone at him, which Drew easily dodged before tossing a file onto the table.
The four of them leaned in simultaneously. “What’s this?”
“Didn’t you all say you wanted to avenge Ash?”
Drew’s eyes turned icy as he tapped the table with his finger. “We have enough evidence inside this folder to bring James down.”
At the mention of evidence, Axel, the prosecutor, and Ralph, the police officer, perked up.
Bella quickly grabbed the file, eagerly spilling its contents onto the table.
The four of them each took a part of the document and read through it. As they read the documents, their expressions grew increasingly shocked and furious.
