Ralph clenched the photo tightly. “Bella, now that I know about this matter, especially since it involves Ash, I’ll ensure it’s dealt with properly. It’s over for James this time.”
Axel nodded in agreement. “I’ll head back and start making preparations.”
“Let’s not rush things and alert him prematurely. We need to be absolutely sure about things before we take action.”
After a moment of contemplation, Bella suddenly asked with curiosity. “Drew, where did you get this evidence? It has only been two days since Ash’s case became public. It seems impossible for you to gather so much information in such a short time.”
Drew’s eyes were deep, like an impenetrable forest. “I went to Pivotage the other night. James was there that night, and I intended to confront him and avenge Ash.”
Bella and Justin immediately tensed up.
For most people, Pivotage was a paradise of pleasure.
But for Drew, if Christopher caught him there, it could easily become his grave.
Christopher would not hesitate to kill, regardless of who the person was.
“But I didn’t see James there. Instead, I met Yvonne.”
“The woman who looks like me?”
“Yeah.”
Drew was always honest with his younger sister. Since he had promised to help them investigate, he did not hold back. “She helped me avoid the surveillance cameras at Pivotage. When she heard I wanted revenge on James, she feared I’d cause too much trouble and alert Christopher. So, she gave me these materials instead to pass on to you both.”
The young couple exchanged astonished looks.
Axel focused intently on Drew. “And then? What happened?”
“And then I left.”
“But that beautiful woman saved you. Didn’t she make your heart race? Did you not feel like embracing her?”
