There was no reason to ignore such juicy gossip.
Hence, everyone eagerly leaned forward, stretching out to grab the documents on the table.
Only Logan remained seated throughout the commotion. His expression remained unchanged, making no move at all.
Thanks to Zoe, he had privately looked through this appraisal report countless times.
“Who dares touch it?!”
Ryan’s thunderous roar shook the boardroom. His eyes blazed with a fierce and bloodthirsty gaze.
These people were more than just board members. They were also Ryan’s elders. Yet he had managed to intimidate them all. They shrunk back in fear, not daring to touch the documents on the table.
“What’s wrong, Ryan? Are you afraid to face reality, or are you unable to accept it?”
Liam smirked at him, his tone dripping with sarcasm. “Deep down, you’re probably instinctively rejecting the fact that your fiancée is mentally ill, right? Otherwise, why would you have kept your future wife, whom you claim to be inseparable from, from showing up in the office all this time? Are you afraid she’ll embarrass you?”
Alas, Ryan could not hold back any longer.
The Hoffmans did not have as many strict rules as the Salvadors or the Iversons, nor was he a privileged young master with a centuries-old family tradition. He also would not stoop to endure any humiliation like Justin did for the sake of the greater scheme.
Ryan would always handle things his own way.
In a swift motion, he grabbed the water glass from the table and threw it at Liam’s head without hesitation.
“Argh! That hurts!”
Liam could not dodge in time. He took the full brunt of the blow on his forehead, which instantly swelled into a large lump. The water drenched his face and head, and he looked utterly disheveled.
Before Liam could even open his eyes, cries of shock erupted from all around him.
In the next moment, Liam felt his body suddenly sink, crashing backward onto the ground. Before he could react, a heavy fist struck his face. Blood gushed out of his nose instantly.
Liam could not believe it.
