The two men discussed how to kill Matthew, completely disregarding the latter's presence and treating him as if he were already dead.
Matthew continued munching on nuts.
One after another, he skillfully flicked them into his mouth and ate them quickly.
His movements were fluid, as if he had years of practice eating nuts.
Meanwhile, Tessa was huddled in a corner, trembling in fear as she watched everything unfold.
Rose pulled out a chair and casually sat down. She crossed her legs, revealing her fair thighs.
She appeared relaxed, as if watching her relatives prepare a turkey on Thanksgiving.
Jaiden noticed Matthew's indifferent attitude and shook his head slightly. He then said to Jeffrey, "A single shot would suffice, but since you want him to suffer, I'll put in a bit more effort."
As he spoke, he drew a knife from his waist.
It wasn't long at about a foot and a half. The back of the knife was about an inch thick, and the edge was razor-thin.
It was crafted with an unusual design.
Matthew frowned at the sight. It was his first time seeing such a weapon.
Jaiden slowly approached Matthew while he spoke, "The blade edge is the bone cleaver; the back of the knife is the bone crusher. Since Jeffrey wants you to die a painful death, I'll use the bone crusher today. I'll shatter every bone in your body and have you die in agony!"
Jeffrey grinned, resembling a wolf eyeing its prey, its teeth glinting with a hint of blood. "Wonderful. Crush every bone in his body!"
Matthew's voice was icy. "Jeffrey, do you really want to kill me? Aren't you afraid of bringing trouble to your family?"
Jeffrey scoffed. "I've investigated you. Your parents are farmers from Silverbrook Village. You're an ex-convict with no background, and all your money was taken by your ex-wife.
"You have nothing. You shouldn't have angered me. A nobody like you shouldn't offend the Smith family. I'll crush you like an ant!"
Matthew's voice remained cold as he questioned, "Are you sure he can kill me?"
Jeffrey's expression was mocking. "You probably don't know, but he's an ancient martial artist. You're too ignorant to even comprehend the level he's at. Your skill barely comes close to his.
"If you knew his strength, you would piss your pants. I guarantee you won't be able to withstand even a single hit of his!"
Matthew's eyes grew colder as he stared at Jaiden. He said nothing more.
Throughout the entire exchange, he remained seated on the couch.
