The Imposter Bride (Natalia and Magnus) novel Chapter 378

It was said that the bond between a mother and her child was unbreakable. As Jonas wept bitterly, Natalia's tears fell in sync, splashing onto the hardwood floor. "Jonas, honey, I’m not leaving you. I'll come visit you, I promise."

"But why can't I live with you like the other kids? I don't care, I want to stay with you!" Jonas clung to Natalia's leg, his face wet with tears and sweat.

Worried that he'd cry himself sick, Natalia soothed him gently. "Don't cry, Jonas. I swear, I'll never abandon you. You're my brave little man, okay?"

She stroked Jonas’ forehead tenderly, whispering words of comfort until he became exhausted and finally succumbed to sleep in her arms. As she gazed at Jonas’ peaceful face, Natalia planted a soft kiss on his forehead, then laid him gently on the couch and covered him with a light blanket.

“Magnus, you shouldn’t have brought Jonas,” Natalia murmured reproachfully, implying that him using their son as a pawn was a low blow.

Clearly, she hadn’t grasped the full extent of Magnus’ shamelessness. When she turned to scold him, she found Magnus shamelessly stripped down to his bronze, muscular torso, his suit and shirt cast aside.

Her mouth agape, Natalia scolded in a hushed tone, “Magnus, what are you doing?”

Magnus closed in, cornering Natalia against the arm of the sofa, then swiftly shed his trousers and pressed his imposing figure against her.

Propping himself up with one hand, he gazed down at her with a look of burning desire, whispering, “Darling, do you have any idea how I’ve suffered without you? If you don’t save me now, I don’t know what I’ll do.”

He couldn’t bear the thought of Hector living with his wife. Natalia was his, and she wouldn’t marry another. With the shamelessness of a man who refused to lose his love, Magnus grabbed Natalia’s arm, spun her around, and pinned her beneath him on the sofa.

As her soft palm brushed against his cock, Magnus inhaled sharply. “Darling, I want you now! We’re husband and wife, and I’ve missed you so much this past year.”

Natalia’s face flushed crimson; she was about to marry Hector. How could she allow this to happen? She withdrew her hand from Magnus’ grasp and pushed against his chest. “Magnus, we’re no longer married. Let me go!”

“You are mine, and you’ll always be my only wife,” he declared, leaning in as the atmosphere charged with intimacy.

With her cheeks burning hot, Natalia glanced at Jonas, sleeping soundly beside them, afraid of waking him, and pushed at Magnus with gentle urgency. “Get off me, Magnus. You’re going to wake Jonas!”

As if heeding her plea, Magnus stood up, but before Natalia could catch her breath, the world spun as she was swept into Magnus’ arms.

“What are you doing?” Natalia’s whispered protest was cut short as she covered her mouth, mindful not to wake Jonas. Then she murmured a soft objection, “Don’t do this. Jonas is right here.”
