The Imposter Bride (Natalia and Magnus) novel Chapter 429

Hector really hadn't expected Bianca to be twenty-one, but even so, he wouldn't let himself be tempted. His whole being, his entire heart, belonged to Natalia; there was simply no room for another.

Bianca had mustered all her courage to speak her feelings, only to be met with Hector's indifferent expression. She felt a sudden rush of embarrassment and, covering her face, ran off at such a speed it was almost comical.

Watching Bianca disappear, Hector finally exhaled a sigh of relief. Had she persisted, he wasn't sure he could have resisted compromising her virginity.

Thankfully, she'd fled in time. That was close!

Back in his room, Hector tossed and turned, unable to sleep. Gazing at the moonlight outside his window, his longing for Natalia only intensified. He wondered if she was dreaming already, perhaps even dreaming of him for a fleeting second. Yet Bianca's hurt little face kept haunting him, especially her insistence that she was twenty-one.

He lay in bed with his eyes closed until the break of dawn finally lulled him to sleep.

Meanwhile, Natalia wasn't asleep either. She was pinned beneath Magnus, a man who was a firm believer of carnal desires.

Magnus was passionately making love with Natalia, his lean chest slick with sweat. Exhausted, Natalia could barely open her eyes and pleaded weakly, "Please, let me be. I'm about to pass out from exhaustion."

"No way!" Magnus flatly rejected her plea, huffing indignantly. "I'm doing this to prove a point to that brat. He dared to question my virility. I will not take this blow to my pride. I must prove myself!"

Watching Magnus act like a petulant child, Natalia shook her head speechlessly. "Alright, alright, you win. But could you maybe speed things up? My back's about to break," she begged.

“Oh, someone please take this petty man off my hands!”

But no one heard Natalia's plea. She drifted into unconsciousness, while Magnus continued with his determined mission.

The next day.

When Natalia woke up well-rested, it was already bright outside. Stretching languidly, she suddenly felt a wave of nausea.

"Magnus, Magnus?" she called out softly.

Magnus entered the room. "I’m here! What can I do for you, my dear?"

"Where did you go just now?" Natalia asked, puzzled. But before Magnus could answer, she clutched her chest. "I don't know why, but I feel queasy all of a sudden, like I need to vomit."

"You feel like vomiting?" Magnus echoed her words, then suddenly jumped up with joy. "That's fantastic! Looks like I'm going to be a dad again! I knew it wouldn't be long before another little angel joined our family."

Natalia rolled her eyes at Magnus. "Big dummy, feeling nauseous doesn't necessarily mean I'm pregnant. I've had stomach issues lately."

"Of course you are pregnant, otherwise all my efforts would have been for naught," Magnus boasted, then leaned in to whisper, "Besides feeling queasy, are you experiencing discomfort anywhere else?"
