The Imposter Bride (Natalia and Magnus) novel Chapter 546

After saying that, Magnus cradled Natalia in his arms and sat on the small cot, swiftly drawing the curtain around them to block out the anxious gazes of those around.

The ambulance raced towards the central hospital in Honolulu.

Treating Natalia like the most precious treasure, Magnus gently laid her on the narrow hospital bed. Recalling the doctor's instructions, he took a blanket and carefully spread it on the floor.

The bed was far too small to support both him and Natalia, so Magnus decided to sleep on the floor and wrap around her.

Once he had done all this, Natalia still lay on the bed, unconscious, her face deathly pale, seemingly devoid of life. Quickly shedding his clothes, Magnus then undressed Natalia, wrapping her tightly in his arms and covering them both with three layers of blankets.

Natalia's body was as cold and rigid as a block of ice, chilling Magnus to the point where he couldn't help but shiver. He held her close, desperately trying to transfer his body heat to her. "Honey, it's alright now. I'm here," Magnus whispered, his voice trembling as he spoke softly into Natalia's ear. But Natalia remained still. Her body was cold except for a faint warmth at the core of her chest.

Magnus endured the icy touch of her skin against the heat trapped under the blankets, feeling like he was being simultaneously roasted and frozen. Despite the discomfort, Magnus refused to give up, continuing to use his own body to warm Natalia. This minor discomfort was nothing compared to the dire situation they were in. Every second was precious.

As time passed, Magnus could feel a slight warmth returning to Natalia's body. Tears of relief fell from his eyes as he kissed her still-chilled cheeks. "Honey, can you hear me calling? Are you waking up? Please, get better fast!"

"Daddy!" Jonas' voice called out, "Dad, is Mom doing better? Are we at the hospital?"

Knowing Jonas was also worried, Magnus quickly replied, "Yes, your mom's temperature is picking up. Hang on, we'll be out soon."

After dressing Natalia and himself, Magnus carefully carried her out to meet the medical team. The doctor immediately came to check on Natalia and said, "Mr. Andersen, Mrs. Andersen's temperature is indeed rising. You did the right thing. We need to get her to the hospital quickly for further emergency treatment."

"Yes, please hurry," said Magnus, his heart finally easing a bit. He had feared the worst, but now there was a chance to save her.

In the hospital, the medical team worked quickly to hydrate Natalia, hooking her up to various monitors. Magnus watched anxiously, his gaze never leaving Natalia's pale face as he silently prayed for her recovery.
