The Killer Queen ( Noella Briony ) novel Chapter 340

In the central flowerbed of the park near the lab, there were several small wooden cabins, usually used for tourist sightseeing.

Noella, with a raised eyebrow, revealed, "This place falls within the Polaris Star's secret operational base."

When the Shadow Dragon Society made their move, everyone at Polaris Star was caught off guard!

Phecda peeked out from behind some bushes. "Who knew? We were just grabbing a bite, and they thought this place was empty. Next thing, they're hauling someone right in front of us!"

The shock was palpable among the Polaris Star crew.

Annie had a moment of realization. "So this area was under your control all along. Had I known, I wouldn't have worried!"

No wonder her boss and Ms. Noella were taking their sweet time, strolling hand in hand without a care in the world!

Phecda explained, "Our boss prefers to keep a low profile. This lab mainly dabbles in developing perfumes and cosmetics. The production chain is quite lengthy, so we usually sell off the finished product for a tidy profit. And there's this sucker who keeps buying our formulas, even giving us a cut of the annual profits."

Annie paused for a moment.

"If I'm not mistaken, our conglomerate's beauty division is involved in collaborating with Polaris Star's perfume venture, under the direct supervision of my boss."

So, the 'sucker' Phecda mentioned was right in front of them!

Noella couldn't help but let out a chuckle.

Phecda quickly put on a smile. "Mr. Pollack, we have some new formulas in development. Boss has given her approval. Would you be interested in signing up for more?"

Palmer, with his stoic charm, only had eyes for Noella. "Am I the sucker here?"

Noella simply shrugged. "If that's how you see it, I can’t change your mind."

Watching her playful demeanor, Palmer affectionately tapped Noella's nose, shaking his head in fond exasperation.

"If Noella approves, of course, we'll sign."

"Mr. Pollack, always so generous!"

As Noella headed towards one of the lit-up cabins, she teased, "Mr. Pollack, ready to sign without even a sniff?"

Palmer looped an arm around Noella's waist, whispering suggestively close, "Haven't I already caught a whiff from you?"

She had been wearing a different fragrance lately, a rich blend of lily-of-the-valley with a captivating fruity note. Palmer had assumed it was the latest scent on the market!

"Mr. Pollack, you seem to know perfume quite well."

"Of course, understanding the female market is part of my business."

The others, walking in front, acted as if they saw and heard nothing.

Inside the cabin, Robert held a knife to Ulrich's face, his tone icy. "Kid, thinking you can charm someone from the Shadow Dragon Society? Better to give up on that now!"

Ulrich barely reacted. "What do you want?"

As Robert’s cold, scarred face loomed closer, the sharp blade grazed Ulrich's skin, sending chills down his spine.

"I just want you to know that this girl isn’t one to be trusted. No decent girl would flirt with older men since her teens." Robert taunted, while Malvina, expressionless, watched with eyes devoid of any emotion, merely observing.
