The slender and long Concorde took off from the Beirut International Airport in the capital of Lebanon.
The plane soared into the sky and sailed toward Oskia at the fastest speed.
Autumn sat by the window on the plane as she stared out of the window in a daze.
Even now, she still felt as though everything that she had experienced in the past hour or so was just like a dream. 2
However, she secretly glanced at Charlie, who was sitting not too far away from her and resting with his eyes closed, and she could clearly feel that all of this was not just a dream. It was reality!
As she thought about how Charlie had come to Syria alone and had even saved her from the brink of death, Autumn not only felt extremely grateful, but she also felt very guilty and ashamed.
She felt that even after studying economics and finance for so many years, she was still so naive that she could not even see right through human nature.
At first, she truly felt very ashamed of herself for abandoning her peers and leaving them behind. But now that she thought about it carefully, she realized
that all of her friends had seemed to have bad intentions too. 3
In their opinion, they would have preferred for Autumn to die together with them rather than allowing her to have a chance to live on her own.
In truth, all of them had initially had the opportunity t o live, but they had squandered their opportunity away unscrupulously.
As a result, after squandering off their opportunity to live, they had started to feel extremely angry and frustrated because she was still given the opportunity to leave.
