Charlie did not pay any attention to what cards he was actually dealt with, but as soon as the card came t o him, he would immediately put a one-million-euro chip in. After a few rounds, Charlie then threw in four-million-euro chips, but it actually represented seventy million euros in total.
The others were unable to adapt to the large bet for a while and so, they simply folded and watched the game.
Charlie and Walliot were the only ones left at the table.
Immediately afterward, the croupier spoke up and said, "Please show your cards!"
Charlie flipped his bottom card over immediately, and his cards only consisted of a pair and three other miscellaneous cards. This was considered a very small hand in Texas Hold'em Poker.
As for Walliot, he had a good hand in the first game. H e had four Jacks and a miscellaneous card, which was a much bigger hand compared to Charlie.
The croupier immediately announced, "Mr. Walliot wins this round."
Walliot was a little excited as he gathered all the chips in front of him, and he smiled as he said, "Sorry about that, Mr. Wade!"
Charlie was indifferent to it, and he simply said, "Sigh. It's only tens of millions. So, why are you being so polite? Besides that, there is a saying at our Oskian poker table stating that those who win first will only win paper, and those who win later win the money. W e will not know who the final victor is until the last moment."
Walliot could not help but give Charlie a thumbs up as he praised, "Mr. Wade, you're really a man with extraordinary manner! Shall we continue, then?"
Charlie nodded and smiled as he said, "Let’s go!"
Walliot secretly winked at the croupier.
Charlie’s cards were too small just now. Walliot wanted the croupier to make Charlie's cards bigger in the game this time so that he could make Charlie place a bigger bet.
Sure enough.
