ISLA felt a little bit nervous upon reading Zero’s message. What does he mean by getting punished? It’s not that she did something that he might like. Does she?
She bites the tip of her thumb as she walked back and forth inside her room. When she stopped, she heaved a deep sigh. “Ugh,” she uttered.
Why does Zero is doing this to her?
She began to walk towards the door and took a peek at the living area, observing to see if Becca was still there. However, the coast was clear.
She sighed again and closes the door. She rushed towards her bed and threw herself into it. She clasped her hands together and rests them above her abdomen as she stared at the ceiling.
“Does Zero already think of settling down?” she whispered. “Does he try to fall in love with someone else? Did he even experience exerting special feelings on someone else?”
She sighed and looked to the side, it was already past nine in the evening. It was 8:45 when Zero left.
She turned to the side and rests her face on her palm. If only she got the same age as Zero, maybe there could be a… she shook her head to erase her thoughts about it.
She got up and grabbed her phone from the table. She looked at its screen and there was no call or message.
She’ll damn insane because she’s been thinking about the true meaning of Zero’s message. Inside her, it was telling her that Zero might come tonight and will punish her.
But what could that be?
Zero was aware that they can’t do extremes inside her room because Becca might hear it. The rooms aren’t soundproof.
She scoffed. “Great,” she whispered and put down her phone back on the table. She gets back to bed. She grabbed the comforter and let it hug her. Closing her eyes, she tried to get asleep but many thoughts were running inside her mind which makes her open her eyes again and heaved a deep sigh,
So, what could possibly happen if Becca will leave her and studied abroad? She’s not sure if Apollo will let her stay alone. But she will do her best to convince her brother if it was the case.
It will be a great opportunity for her and Zero.
She knew she was getting worse but she was just like Zero—it was a fulfilling dream to be with him.
She will still do her best to study well and won’t disappoint her brother and mother.
She turned to the side and hugged the pillow. “Zero…” she whispered his name. She did agree with their agreement but how sure she is that Zero will stick with their agreement? Besides, it’s just a verbal agreement.
Damn it! she cursed inside her mind.
She got up. She can’t sleep. She glanced at her rectangular digital clock and it was already ten in the evening.
Guess, her assumption was wrong. Zero won’t come to punish her. She stood up and exited her room to grab some milk. She can’t sleep. So, she will need to drink one glass of milk.
When she was in the kitchen, she then made her milk and put the glass in a saucer and she went back to her room. She kicked the door to close as she walked towards her bed. Right before she put her glass down, her phone vibrated and her eyes widened when she saw the caller ID—it was Zero.
She then put down the glass, took a deep breath, and sighed before answering the call.
She hemmed to clear her throat and tapped the answer button.
“I’m in front of your unit,” Zero uttered which makes her gasp.
“W-Why…”
She heard Zero scoff on the other line. “I told you; I will punish—”
“If it’s a monster thing, don’t try to do it. Becca is sleeping next to my room,” she replied.
Zero at the moment wants to burst into laughter because he could feel Isla’s fear.
