The Playboy’s Downfall novel Chapter 86

AFTER DINNER, Isla climbed upstairs and went to her room to take a cold shower. While Zero stays in the living room, talking with Apollo.

“You should talk to her, dude. And explain everything—”

“I don’t want her to know that I’m a bad guy.”

“You are a bad guy, Zero,” Apollo uttered and let out a soft chuckle as he laid his back on the couch. “Dude, my sister would understand that. And don’t you worry about her attitude at this moment since she was surprised by your presence,” he added.

Zero grabbed the throw pillow and grasped it. “I don’t know; it seems like she doesn’t want to see me,” he replied.

Apollo shook his head. “She’s happy to see you. Trust me,” he said and smiled. He hugged the throw pillow and smiled.

“Did I scare her when I told her that I love her? You know that I’m not good at showing my feelings—”

“Dude, I’m sure she’s being thrilled into the bones. She’s been waiting for that,” Apollo answered.

Zero heaved a deep sigh. “I could really feel her coldness towards me—”

“Come on, and my sister is good at pretending. Don’t worry, if she continues to be like that, I will talk to her. And of course, you know teens in this generation. Isla is just eighteen, and you’re twenty-eight. Your age gap is ten years. So, it would be best if you guided her. And, of course, avoid pestering her—good thing she’s done with her craving stage. If not, you’re dead,” Apollo asserted.

Zero’s forehead creased, and he bit his lower lip when he remembered the scenario earlier in the car. Isla pulled him closer to her and sniffed his neck as if she got addicted to it.

“I don’t know if she’s already done with the cravings, dude,” Zero replied meaningfully.

“Don’t you freaking dare to let my sister eat your hotdog, Zero Cohen?” Apollo uttered and threw the pillow in Zero’s direction.

Zero let out a soft chuckle and threw it back. They both stopped when Isla spoke. “You’re too old to play like that,” she asserted and sat down on the one-seater sofa.

Zero pressed his lips when he saw Isla in her beautiful white dress. Her baby bump boosted her attractive features. She’s indeed a goddess.

Apollo got up. “That’s us, Princess. Anyway, talk to Zero. And if you want, I will tell him to stay away from—”

“Dude,” Zero cut off as he stood up and walked towards Isla. “Let’s talk,” he said and stretched his hand to reach hers, but Isla just looked at it and stood up. She walked ahead of him, and they both climbed upstairs.

Isla pushed the door wide open and looked at Zero. “Come in,” she said. She walked towards her bed and sat.

Zero stepped inside and closed the door. He roams his eyes inside her room and can’t help but smile when he remembers that they had their first sex here.
