CHAPTER 25.

ALPHA KING, RICHARD’S EARLIER STANCE.

I hate the way her mother talks to me. She disrespected me. I was so mad at her when she told me she knew the whereabouts of my mate but she was not going to tell me. What kind of mother is that? Why is she refusing to tell me where my mate is staying?

"Look here, woman, tell me where my mate is staying, or you are going to face my rage," I warned her.

"Alpha king, you are not worthy of my daughter," she smirks. "My baby girl deserves the best.

I didn't deserve her, did I? A woman is nothing to be proud of. They only know how to produce their mate's pup. How dare she say I am not worthy of her.

"I am only accepting her because she had a wolf. Do you think your daughter is anything special? I flared back. Stop thinking highly of her. She didn't deserve me.

"You just said what? Her father asked. "You said she has a wolf now. She's no longer the woofless girl?

"Yes, she is not. I think you should be asking your wife about this. She did not seem to be surprised. She knows she has a wolf. I guess you are the only one that didn't know about her wolf ``I let out. Tell me, woman, where the hell is she?

"Can you stop all this?" Parker howled at the back of my mind. "Can you stop giving them problems?

Instead of him supporting me, he is supporting her family.

"If we can’t force her or threaten her, how are we supposed to know where she is staying? I growl at him.

I backed out when he threatened to leave me if I didn't stop giving that problem.

The beta and his wife were arguing over the news he had just heard from me. He feels betrayed.

"Why did you keep the fact that she is no longer useless?" He fired his mate. "Why didn't you tell me your daughter has a wolf?

"Can you stop fighting in front of me? I yell. "I have no time for your drama. You can continue your fight when I am no longer here.

I face the angry woman and say, "Trust me, I am going to find your daughter and make her mine. I’ll be on my way now. "Good day, Betta." Let’s go, Raymond.

When we reached where I parked the car. I give the car keys to Raymond. 

"I am not feeling alright. Can you drive us to the pack? I utter. He gave me one kind of evil look before snatching the car keys from me. 

"Raymond, did I offend you? I asked my best friend, who was giving me an attitude and refusing to talk to me.

"No, my king. "You didn't offend me," he said.

"Shit! Then why are you not talking to me? Why are you giving me an attitude? I question. I am not comfortable with your new found behavior.

"I am still the same person," he whispered. "My behavior never changes." You change, alpha. I am still trying to get to know you all over again, even though we are childhood friends.

"Change?" "I am still the one you have known since we were children," I uttered. "Nothing changed.

"Mmm, you think so? He inquired. ever since you met your mate. You rejected her when I advised you not to. You turned against me. You sleep with different girls. You even went as far as to lull yourself to sleep with the pack bitch. You change from good to worse.

I stay silent. I don't know what to say. He is right. I never knew I went this far. I am just blinded by my hatred for her.

"I am sorry." I apologize. I am just blinded by hatred. I don't want to lose my best friend.

"You are blinded by your hatred for your mate," he laughed. "Your other part.

"I am sorry. I am trying my best to look for her and apologize ``I mumble. I hope she is going to forgive and accept me.

I lied. I know he knows where she is staying. Only he can tell me where she is right now. Only Raymond can help me find her. I need to pretend to be remorseful or else I will never see her again.

"I regret treating her that way. Only if I can see her, will I be able to apologize to her in the right way.
