Hamish immediately did his best to introduce himself. He was from Tenant Continent. It was a third-grade world, and Hamish was considered quite an extraordinary warrior there. However, he was completely ordinary when it came to the Whirling World.
When Rowan heard where Hamish was from, he had a look of disdain in his eyes. A piece of trash from a third-grade world was actually trying to get closer to him.
Even though Rowan was incredibly hot-tempered, he still had some intelligence to him. Hamish's attitude clearly showed that Hamish was trying to curry favor with them. In truth, Hamish's conflict with Fane was just a complete excuse.
That guy had just been rude to him, but so what? Fane was rude to everyone! The fact that Hamish had rushed out like that and acted like he had a huge grudge against Fane was just because he was trying to get on good terms with Star Continent!
He also wanted to try to make a name for himself in front of everyone else! Even though there was nothing honorable or glorious about getting famous like that, he was still hoping to ride on the coattails of Star Continent! Rowan raised an eyebrow. Even though he looked down on Hamish, Hamish was still the enemy of an enemy.
After they signed up and went on stage, Hamish would still be useful. Rowan nodded at Hamish, throwing him a bone. The smile on Hamish's face intensified. It was as if he wanted to be Rowan's servant.
"Don't worry! You won't even need to lift a finger against that guy! I'll be able to deal with him for all of you! He was only acting so arrogantly because of his ignorance. He's never really experienced the world at all!"
Hamish had deliberately raised his voice at that, making sure that everyone could hear him clearly. Fane raised an eyebrow in exasperation. It was quite rare to see someone like Hamish. He was just so petty and despicable that it was disgusting.
Quite a few people in the audience started to look at Hamish like he was completely shameless. How could he be so willing to act like a dog for someone else? There was a difference between the talent and skill of every warrior, but all of them had their pride and hearts as a warrior.
The two sides were not related, so very few of them could do what Hamish was doing. It was as if he was completely devaluing himself. He was willing to act as a servant to someone else. A person like that would definitely not be able to accomplish anything big. He would only be able to act like a dog and loyally stay with someone stronger. That was an incredibly shameless way to live as a warrior.
"This Hamish is such a joke. That vengeful and angry manner he acted in just now was all just an act. He doesn't seem like he hates that masked man all that much. He's just someone who's trying to get on good terms with Star Continent. Does he think that the rest of us can't tell what his goals are? It's the first time I've seen anyone so desperate for attention!"
"He's just like a clown who's trying to put on a show. He doesn't care about how everyone else is laughing at him. I really can't understand what people like him are thinking!"
Everyone had a very low evaluation of Hamish, feeling like Hamish was just like a dog wagging its tail. However, Hamish seemed very happy with the situation.
After signing up with Rowan, he had a completely different look on his face. He had a pleased smile as if he had reached a high place that should be admired by everyone else.
