The black-robed man nodded, "Speak."
That short conversation suddenly attracted everyone's attention. Rather, Fane's every action was something everyone was paying attention to. Fane took out twenty pieces of purple gold from Mustard Seed.
The Capture Hall's rules stated that even the participants could take part in the betting. However, they could not place the bets themselves, but they could ask others to do it.
Even though Fane had not heard any of Lourain and Marth's whispered conversations, Fane could tell that the two of them did not want to be tied to him in a public setting. They were probably afraid of being dragged down. Since that was the case, Fane would not force them.
The black-robed man already argued with the warriors from Star Continent before this. It would not be that troublesome for him to help Fane out. Furthermore, Fane was not going to ask him to do it for no reason either. After taking out the twenty pieces of purple gold, he took out another hundred thousand spirit crystals and handed it to the black-robed man."
"These hundred thousand spirit crystals are a gift for helping me. Please bet all of those pieces of purple gold on me."
That shocked everyone present. Quite a few people widened their eyes and gaped as if they were so shocked that they lost their rationality. It was twenty pieces of purple gold. Even Rowan and the others were shocked as they looked at Fane again, evaluating Fane in a different light.
No matter what Fane did, it would always render them speechless. This time, Fane had taken out twenty pieces of purple gold in one go. Those twenty pieces were equal to two hundred million spirit crystals.
That sum was something even Rowan would not be able to take out, let alone regular warriors. Percy might have that amount, but there was no way he would ever use it on a bet! After all, that kind of fortune would empty his coffers. He had to think about things a few times before taking out that sum. It was not a sum to be played around with!
Even if he knew that he would definitely win, he would still not do it! Yet, Fane had not only taken out twenty pieces of purple gold but even gifted a hundred thousand spirit crystals to someone without even batting an eye.
Most importantly, Fane was betting all of that on himself. Was that not just throwing it all down the drain?
Nymm said with a frown, "Brat, could you have dug up some ancient tomb and robbed all the treasures inside?"
Fane's expression turned cold at those words, once again angered by him. Sure enough, he was really good at smearing others. Quite a few others agreed with Nymm. After all, twenty pieces of purple gold were no small sum. Even Percy would not be able to make such a bet so easily.
Hence, they were sure that the purple gold in Fane's hands had not been obtained through legitimate means. Fane turned to look at Nymm, "Can you shut your mouth? It's just full of crap!"
At that moment, nothing he said would be able to clear his reputation anyway. Nymm was so angry his face darkened, "Brat! You really are getting too ahead of yourself! Your end is near! You'll be paying the price soon enough!"
Fane scoffed and said, "Have you run out of new things to say? You've been repeating the same thing over and over again. It's getting really annoying! I'll say it again, shut your mouth!"
