However, Fane managed to earn a brief period of peace and quiet. As time slowly ticked away, people slowly went to sign up. Even though most of the warriors there would rather just watch, there were still some who were willing to take a gamble. After another fifteen minutes, fifteen names were on the list.
The masked caretaker had all ten participants go on stage, and the battle was going to start! The spectators were once again in a fervor of excitement. Whatever beast would appear during the battle was secondary to watching that idiotic, stubborn, and crazy man pay a heavy price!
Everyone clearly remembered how Fane had insulted Star Continent. Even though they had a good time watching, Fane's arrogance still made them feel like he should be punished. It was still a good show for them!
"Do you think this guy will still be stubborn if he gets beaten up so badly that he can't even stand up later?"
"If that happens, he'll probably end up forgetting everything he's said before this. All he's going to know how to do will be to cry and beg for mercy. Don't worry, there's definitely something wrong with his head. Otherwise, he wouldn't be doing something so absurd."
"Honestly, my judgment of that guy goes up and down. One moment, he seems like he has plans on his mind, the next moment, it's like there's something wrong with his head. The moment he signed up, I was finally sure that he was just so confident that he just acted without any thought.
"All of those absurd things he said before, he probably meant it all! He actually does think that he's on an even footing with Percy and Randall! Even though Randall's skills are recognized by everyone as strong, this guy doesn't care!"
"In all my years, it's my first time seeing someone like this. It's actually quite interesting. After all, it's rare to see warriors who are so stupid."
No matter what everyone else was saying, Fane's expression never changed that much. At that moment, it was as if he was separated from the world around him. Randall and Rowan got up to look at Fane. They had a cold glint in their eyes.
Fane did not bother reacting to their looks at all. They could look at him however they wanted to, as long as they did not waste his time and effort talking to him. The two of them could look at him as much as they wanted to. Fane looked around to see who was around him. The ones closest to him were Marth and Lourain. The two of them had lowered their heads and did not speak too much in case they were tied to him.
Fane glanced at the two of them, not saying anything. After that, he looked at the black-robed man. The moment he had his conflict with the warriors from Star Continent, the black-robed man had remained silent the whole time. The warriors from Star Continent shifted their attention to Fane, no longer paying the man any attention.
However, Fane knew that they would definitely not let the black-robed man go. They were already planning on dealing with the black-robed man after they dealt with Fane. However, Fane did not think the man cared.
He was probably from a substantial background, so the warriors from Star Continent probably had to hold back when dealing with him. Thinking about that, Fane raised an eyebrow as he said to the black-robed man, "Sir, I have a request. I need a bit of a favor from you."
The black-robed man was stunned as he looked at Fane with a curious expression. In truth, the black-robed man was just like everyone else, feeling like the masked man had some problems in his head. However, he never looked down on Fane and mocked Fane with the others. Instead, he was merely a quiet spectator.
