The Supreme Man: Took Everything in Power novel Chapter 399

Thankfully, Coliree Island's soldiers had excellent reflexes, and they quickly shot her down!

Kingsley froze for a second as he stared at the woman lying on the ground, while his ears rang with the baby's crying sounds.

However, just as he stood there in a daze, that woman fired a gun at him!

In a flash, one of his closest military buddies flew in front of him to block him from the bullet!

That bullet killed him instantly, and that soldier's name was Warren Hewitt!

Just a mere second later, that woman was littered with bullet holes as all the other soldiers fired at her immediately, but that was not going to bring Warren back to life…

Even now, Kingsley could still recall the agony in that woman's expression, and her clear, innocent eyes.

It was then that he realized that he could never let his guard down in front of anyone who was his enemy, no matter if it was a woman or a mother.

As Kingsley sifted through his thoughts, his eyes began to burn a little and his throat tightened up.

He took a deep breath and asked Will, "Where is Mrs. Hewitt's birthday banquet going to be held?"

"Helios Hotel, at one this afternoon," Will responded, slightly taken aback. "Do you wish to attend as well?"

Kingsley nodded. "I'd like to go and take a look."

Will was a little nonplussed, but he decided against asking further.

Meanwhile, Julie came over with an exquisite gift box. "Mr. Maslow, this is a mechanical watch for women that is priced at eighty-three thousand. It's one of our higher-end designs. Please have a look. If it's acceptable to you, I'll go and wrap it up for you now."

Will gave it a quick glance and saw that it was indeed a luxurious-looking watch, so he nodded. "I'll take it."

After settling the bill, Will took the gift bag and said to Kingsley, "Um… Mr. Nicholson, I'll see you at Helios Hotel this afternoon. The event's about two hours from now, so I'll need to make a trip to the hospital first."

Heston assigned him to the task of buttering up Kingsley by footing the bill for him.

Since he paid for a five hundred grand watch, he decided that he had done a pretty good job.

Will wisely bade his goodbye and stayed out of Kingsley's way, leaving Kingsley and Courtney to their own devices.

Once Will took his leave, Kingsley said to Julie, "Do you have any other of these watches on hand right now?"
