"Rupert has explained everything now. Miss Jeanne has nothing to do with Kenny. She was only helping me capture a debtor!" Kingsley said calmly.
"So the accusation of her conspiring with Kenny doesn't stand anymore, does it?"
At once, the entire room was filled with silence.
Augustus' temples throbbed with anger.
He longed to tear Kingsley apart for ruining his carefully constructed narrative.
With the accusations seemingly justified and reasonable, Victoria had been on the brink of defeat.
However, Kingsley's words completely shattered the foundation of these unfounded claims.
Augustus gritted his teeth. "Brat! What the hell are you?"
"Me?" Kingsley smirked. "You can consider me as someone who stands up for justice, for now."
As Augustus looked at Kingsley's calm and composed appearance, his eyes flickered slightly. "Did you and Kenny really kill Xanxus?"
If it had been any ordinary people, the sight of so many underworld bosses would have scared them out of their wits.
However, Kingsley remained completely unaffected, showing no signs of fear.
This made Augustus, who had been skeptical of Rupert's words, start to feel anxious as well.
He was deeply wary of someone who could take down Xanxus so effortlessly.
Kingsley shook his head. "Xanxus? No, it wasn't me who killed him."
His expression was sincere.
Truth was, Xanxus wasn't really killed by him.
It was Serena who slit his throat with a single stroke.
Seeing Kingsley's sincere expression, Augustus let his guard down.
Then, he leaned back against the chair and coldly uttered, "Alright, you can get lost now! Your presence holds no significance in this meeting."
