Listening to their conversation, Kingsley suddenly had a thought.
The last time he met with Cedric at the Lucky Cafe, he heard the voices of Victoria and another woman.
At that time, he was worried about running into Victoria and didn't pay much attention to the other person's voice.
He realized now that the person who had gone to the Lucky Cafe with Victoria that day appeared to be Xaria.
The two of them were already very close with each other back then!
With this thought, Kingsley deliberately put on a smile and asked, "Last time at Thinking Cup Coffee, you two didn't even know each other yet. How did you get so close in just two days?"
Victoria said, "Remember that time you left Thinking Cup Coffee early because you had something to do? I went shopping with Xaria and discovered that we really clicked!"
"Yes! We felt like we had known each other forever the moment we met!" Xaria quickly chimed in.
Kingsley experienced that uneasy feeling once more as he observed Xaria's overly enthusiastic expression.
But, just as before, he couldn't figure out what was wrong!
Kingsley narrowed his eyes and nodded. "Okay, since you have already asked, I'll go with you to take a look."
He despised this hazy sense of impending doom. It not only made it impossible for him to attack Xaria unprovoked, but it also made it difficult for him to completely let go of his guard!
Moreover, Xaria had become attached to Victoria.
If Xaria truly posed a threat, Victoria would be in danger.
Kingsley swore he'd never let anything happen to Victoria. He, therefore, intended to get to know Xaria well in order to discover her true identity and her motives.
Xaria was overjoyed to learn of Kingsley's agreement. "That's great! If you can cure my friend's grandfather's illness, he'll be very happy!"
