Who on earth is that young man to incite such excitement from the professor?!
Just then, Alan retrieved a long box from the depths of a cabinet, saying, "Found it!"
He tucked the box into his lab coat and hurried to the door. "Let's go! Let's not keep Dr. Nicholson waiting too long!" he urged.
Dr. Nicholson?! Alan's address to Kingsley shook the young nurse. Wait, he's the legendary Dr. Nicholson, capable of treating paralyzed patients with just a few needles?!
While the young nurse was still reeling in shock, Alan had already reached the elevator lobby!
"Professor Gershwin!" The young nurse quickly caught up and walked alongside him as they headed to the Second Inpatient Department.
Upon entering Shannon's ward, as soon as Alan entered, he respectfully bowed to Kingsley. "Dr. Nicholson."
The young nurse following behind was utterly dumbfounded.
Given Alan's status, he wouldn't even likely show such deference to the hospital director.
Kingsley held Alan and helped him stand straight before asking, "Did you bring the acupuncture needles I asked for, Professor?"
"I did! I did!" Alan quickly took out the box from his pocket and handed it to Kingsley with both hands, saying respectfully, "Dr. Nicholson, although my needles can't compare to your Gorgion's Nine Needles, they're still treasures I've collected. Feel free to use them. I just hope that I can see you in action again."
Seeing the silver-haired professor showing such respect and admiration toward Kingsley, both Cassius and Shannon's eyes lit up. Perhaps, Boss can truly work miracles!
Right then, Shannon had already laid back on the hospital bed.
Under everyone's watchful gaze, Kingsley approached the bed and said to Shannon, "There might be some pain and twitching during the acupuncture process, but there's no need to panic."
"Okay, as long as it can cure my illness, I can endure any pain!" Shannon nodded firmly.
