Kingsley merely curled the edges of his lips into a half-smile as he remained silent for a while.
Of course, he would never admit that he was the one who injured Hugo.
At the same time, he started seriously considering whether he should cure Hugo.
He recalled that he only decided to let Hugo off lightly after the man disrespected Reene.
Now that he had the time to think it over, it seemed that Hugo had been punished enough after being forced to lay in bed for so long.
However, the problem right now was that Reene was currently at a critical point in her career.
If Hugo were to wake up from his comatose state and decide to seek revenge on them… What should he do then?
Also, if Francis was made aware that he was the one who injured his son, would he turn his back on him and refuse to acknowledge that he also had a hand in curing Hugo?
Would he try to hinder Reene in any way?
Of course, it would be easy to destroy Ramada Corporation with his influence.
Yet, he couldn't deny that Francis didn't deserve to be punished for a slight that he wasn't involved in.
The Steins were not so guilty that they deserved to be "exterminated" at least not yet.
Moreover, he would never abuse his power to harm an innocent family.
As he thought of that, he had already come to a decision.
He would not cure Hugo until he had a foolproof plan that Hugo regaining consciousness wouldn't backfire on him and his loved ones!
Nonetheless, it wasn't that he couldn't cure Hugo. Instead, it was a matter of timing.
Once Reene's career reached its peak or when he had devised a better plan, he would eventually wake Hugo from his impromptu coma.
Meanwhile, Francis couldn't help but feel anxious as Kingsley fell silent. So, he persuaded, "Dr. Nicholson, as long as you cure my son, you can ask for anything you want! You should know the might of Ramada Corporation. I'm sure I can fulfill any condition you propose!"
Kingsley was just about to speak when he heard a commotion outside the office door.
A voice shouted, "Where is Reene Wynn? Where is she?! I want to see her! D*mn it, the nerve of that woman to get involved with my father! Today, I will let that shameless woman know that the Steins are not to be trifled with!"
