Isn't the person who saved Yulia from Randy that day me?! Kingsley couldn't help but think in bewilderment.
He scratched his head, unsure of how to explain this particular matter to Reene.
After all, she had confessed her feelings to him. So, he was afraid that telling her the truth would only make her worry and feel sad.
Fortunately, Mason came to his rescue just as his mind was coming up with half-baked ideas, rendering him momentarily mute and incapable of continuing the conversation.
"Now, none of these things matter! What's important right now is to establish a partnership with the Sheffields!"
So, Mason turned to him and said, "Kingsley, I think you shouldn't tarry. Go to the Sheffields now and check things out."
"Alright." Kingsley quickly rose to his feet. "I'll visit the Sheffields right away."
Although the Sheffields were a nationally renowned jewelry family, they had always lived in Cleapolis. Frankly, one could consider Cleapolis their territory at this point. It only made them seem even more intimidating when one were to factor in their wealth along with the power they hold in Cleapolis.
Nonetheless, what surprised Kingsley was that the Sheffields didn't live in an extremely luxurious wealthy area like the Keans or the Steins. Instead, they had built a large estate near the outskirts of the city.
Of course, there was no doubt it was still a massive place. In fact, it was so huge that it had five courtyards. Regardless, the architectural style was not as extravagant as the Sheffields had chosen something closer to nature. Thus, it was clear that this place was built according to the wishes of Old Mrs. Sheffield.
Kingsley parked the car at the entrance of the Sheffield Estate and rang the doorbell.
Soon, a middle-aged woman who looked like a housekeeper came over and opened the door.
"Hello, I'm looking for Cameron Sheffield." He didn't bother beating around the bush.
Cameron Sheffield was the owner of Gavell Jewelry Atelier.
They had met when he was accompanying Cecilia to pick out an engagement ring.
"You're looking for Miss Sheffield?" The housekeeper couldn't help but size him up. "What's your name? I have to ask her about you before I can allow you entry."
People who pursued Cameron Sheffield were a dime a dozen. Thus, several bolder ones would eventually come knocking at the door in an attempt to establish a good relationship with Cameron.
So, when the housekeeper noticed that Kingsley was young, she instinctively took him for one of Cameron's many suitors.
