Baron nodded. "Tell everyone to get ready! Let's show Mr. Nicholson what the Black Fist Gang is capable of." After the deliberation he just had, Baron was finally clear enough to recognize and embrace the position he was in. For that, he no longer desired to join forces with Kingsley or seek his support, but all he cared about was to perform well and impress Kingsley so that he could rise through the ranks faster.
"Yes, boss!" Wendell responded and shouted loudly, "Everyone! The Stewarts will be here soon! Be prepared to show them your spirits and power! Don't fear their intimidating appearances. Even if your fear is gnawing at you, you must get over it and show them your guts!"
"Yes, Sir!"
Due to their fear for the Stewart Family's capabilities, the Back Fist Gang's members would tremble just hearing their names. Nevertheless, after hearing Wendell's words, they all held their chest high and put on fierce expressions, which were familiar to ones commonly seen on the faces of those from the underworld. Therefore, while their hearts might pound a million times faster than a jackhammer, their facial expression showed no signs of fear in their hearts at all.
A few moments later, a young thug with golden hair came inside and anxiously said, "Boss! There are people right outside!"
Baron appeared startled. "Who are they?"
"There are two old men who are accompanied by about five to six young men!" The young thug took a deep breath and added, "As soon as they came in, they demanded to see a man whose last name was Nicholson without even introducing who they were."
"You need them to introduce who they are?! They are obviously the Stewarts!" Wendell responded coldly.
"Bring them in." Baron waved his hand. Then, he turned to Wendell and gave him an order. "Contact Mr. Nicholson now and tell him the Stewarts are here." His palms were sweating as he was talking. They're earlier than expected. Baron thought to himself nervously, but fortunately, he notified his men ahead and told them to be on standby for support; otherwise, he would find himself at a disadvantage if he had to face the Stewarts alone.
Soon, heavy footsteps could be heard coming down the stairs before Jonathan, Jake, Bronte, and the other young members of the Stewart Family appeared at the boxing arena's entrance. Jonathan, who had a serious look, shifted his gaze across the faces of the Black Fist Gang members with a sneer. "Haha. Seriously? Is it really necessary to gather so many men around just to greet my arrival?" The man's words gave off a strong aura that an ancient martial artist would when he said, as if he was a god himself. At the same time, Jonathan's deep and powerful voice echoed through every corner of the boxing arena.
Meanwhile, the Black Fist Gang members could barely maintain the fearless look on their faces as they started to shiver despite the high spirits they were showing earlier.
In the meantime, Bronte ridiculed the fighters' reactions and made fun of them. "What a bunch of clowns! Do you think your numbers really scare us?! How funny! Haha!"
Upon hearing Bronte's mockery, every single fighter from the Black Fist Gang immediately darkened their faces. After all, they didn't expect to be treated as a joke after all the preparation they did to brace for impact.
On the other hand, Baron also appeared unhappy, but even so, he still took a deep breath and greeted Jonathan. "I'm sure this must be the Stewart Family's patriarch, Jonathan Stewart, right?" Despite having butterflies in his stomach, he refused to show any sign of weakness in order to uphold his dignity as the Black Fist Gang's leader.
Jonathan gazed at Baron without saying a single word and directly took his people to the front row of seats, where they settled down. While Jake sat next to him, Bronte brought the younger members of the Stewart Family with him and sat behind them.
While neither bothered to entertain Baron, the latter's face turned pale with a strong, angry feeling surging through his heart. After all, he had never been given the cold shoulder over the years he spent as a part of the underworld community. Overwhelmed by his rage, Baron slowly forgot about his fear for the Stewarts, just as Wendell and the rest of the members of the Black Fist Gang felt the same way.
After all, Baron believed he and his members should be feared and revered because of their affiliation with the underworld. Also, they had a wild instinct that was buried within them. When they were calm, they would still sensibly show some respect, but when they were angered, they became fearless and belligerent, no matter who they would go up against.
