Cedric pondered, What should we do?
"We have two options," he said. "It's either we go back and face the intense interrogation to prove our innocence, or we bring back something that will make them believe we never betrayed His Majesty."
Emmett asked, "Bring back something? Bring back what? What can prove our innocence?"
"Human heads!" Cedric's eyes turned fierce. "We may have to sacrifice others to save ourselves."
The shocked Emmett exclaimed, "Mr. Stanton, whose heads are you planning to bring back? This is Qustia! If there's a murder case, it's no laughing matter."
"We have no other choice!" Cedric said coldly. "We'll claim that we've been hiding behind the underworld forces all this time. The guarding police personnel made it impossible for us to leave. Today, we'll kill two police personnel and escape!"
His expression turned sinister. "As long as we bring back the heads of two Qustian personnel, they will never suspect our betrayal. Everyone knows that the Qustian military never tolerates murderers!"
Emmett's face changed. "Mr. Stanton, how are we going to do that? If something goes wrong, we're done for."
"You fool!" Cedric said coldly. "We'll randomly kill two people and then claim that they were personnel. Do you think the higher-ups will really investigate the police station?
"The Qustian military is so secretive that our people can't hide our identities. How can we infiltrate the police station? Even if the people we kill are not from the police station, it won't make any difference."
Emmett's eyes brightened. "I understand. As long as we kill someone, it means there is absolutely no possibility of being turned by the Qustian military! Then, they won't suspect us!"
Cedric patted Emmett's shoulder. "You finally get it."
"But the problem is... how do we get those two scapegoats?" Emmett said. "The public security in Qustia is exceptionally good. There are surveillance cameras everywhere. It's not easy to silently kill two people."
