At Yulia's continued reluctance, Hillary's expression turned cold.
"What's the matter? You're just an unknown model, so why are you pretending to be noble? Let me tell you, this is not up to you! Do you think the company can continue sidelining you like this? If you can't bring the company any benefits, you will have to pay a hefty compensation fee for breaching your contract! Think carefully. Do you want to pursue a relationship with Mr. Lawson or be burdened with an insurmountable debt?"
With those words, she stood up and left without hesitation.
After Hillary departed, Yulia immediately covered her face and burst into tears. However, she suddenly remembered what Hillary had said earlier after a while. 'What? Are you trying to get me into trouble? If you just walk away, how could I explain it to him?'
Yulia realized that Hillary had to be referring to Mr. Lawson. This, combined with Hillary mentioning that Mr. Lawson knew the actor with whom she was rumored to be involved, made Yulia realize that this was all a conspiracy. Yulia deduced that Mr. Lawson had probably known that she didn't want to engage in casual relationships and devised this cunning plan to coerce her into compliance.
And indeed, Yulia's deduction was correct. Kendall had given Hillary a substantial sum to establish a relationship with Yulia. Hillary had repeatedly hinted at Yulia about this matter, but Yulia had always refused.
Upon seeing Yulia's unwavering stance, Hillary had planned this conspiracy with Kendall to pressure Yulia into agreeing. He had first approached the male actor and promised him financial and resource support while asking him to leak the rumor to the paparazzi, assuring the male actor that they would debunk the rumor and restore their innocence once Yulia agreed. The male actor, concerned about his lack of exposure, had readily cooperated.
As soon as the rumor surfaced, Hillary promptly presented the gravity of the situation to the company as an experienced agent and demanded that Yulia be immediately sidelined. The original investor of Reed Modeling Agency had been Randy Summers; now that the Summers Family had fallen, the chairman of Reed Modeling Agency was pondering where to secure additional funding. Upon hearing a suggestion from Kendall, he promptly issued the order to sideline Yulia.
Hillary was immensely proud of her scheme. She had previously propelled numerous famous models to success, all of whom relied on selling their bodies to curry favor with the powerful. However, Yulia was different and refused to cooperate, which infuriated Hillary. This incident presented the perfect opportunity to trap Yulia and make her compliant.
As for Kendall's claim of wanting a serious relationship, Hillary dismissed it as nonsense since he was the minor chairman of the Lawson Group. Jonah, the head of the Lawson Family, had two sons: Kendall, the eldest, and Peter, the second. Peter, who was in charge of Codrington Construction, was incompetent and had not achieved anything significant, so he didn't even garner Jonah's attention. However, Kendall was different and far surpassed Peter in intelligence and tactics.
Kendall was now the junior chairman of the Lawson Group; how could someone born into such status truly want to date an unknown model? Hillary suspected that he was simply lusting after Yulia's alluring figure and wanted to taste the forbidden fruit. Even though Hillary had seen through Kendall's intentions, she feigned ignorance and even fully cooperated with him.
Besides the large sum of money Kendall had given her, Hillary also wanted to use this incident to completely break down Yulia's defenses. She believed that once Yulia had experienced the benefits of this opportunity, Yulia would never refuse to entertain other influential figures again. Once Yulia had tried it, she would gradually become accustomed to the fact.
