"I-I'm having dinner with a friend," whispered Yulia. "You should've called me before you went to my house."
Hillary cut her off impatiently. "Just come back quickly. I have something to discuss with you!"
She was standing outside Yulia's apartment at the moment. Beside her stood Kendall.
They came to give Yulia a last warning, but they didn't expect that she wasn't at home.
Hillary glanced apologetically at Kendall and covered her phone, whispering, "Please wait a moment. I'll make sure she comes back!"
He was holding a bouquet of roses as he answered her with a faint smile, "There's no rush."
Despite his words, he was starting to lose patience.
She immediately spoke loudly into the phone. "Yulia, you have ten minutes. You'll face the consequences if you can't make it."
"Hillary, I-I haven't eaten anything..." Yulia protested. "Is it something urgent? Can I at least finish my meal before I go back?"
Kingsley's expression hardened at the sight of the troubled look on her face. Who is Yulia talking to? They didn't even let her finish her meal! How dare they boss her around?
His tone turned cold at the thought. "Miss Ansley, who's on the phone?"
As soon as the words left him, Yulia's face turned pale. On the other end of the phone, Hillary exploded with anger. She yelled at Yulia, "Yulia, where are you now? I swear I heard a man's voice! You shameless girl! You refused to meet Mr. Lawson when I asked you, but you dare to sneak out for a tryst with another man!"
