Kingsley grinned. "As long as you don't use your weapons, I'm all game."
He knew Serena's one-hundred-assassination attempt was no joking matter. It was her professional code as an assassin.
She had made it clear. She would leave no one alive among her targets. However, because he was her beloved brother, she showed mercy and agreed to a pact of a hundred assassination attempts. Only if Kingsley survived a hundred attempts would Serena cancel the assassination order.
He wasn't even sure if Serena genuinely intended to take his life.
"No weapons? Sure!" Serena smirked, pulling out a short dagger from beneath her black lace nightgown and dropping it to the ground with a clang. Following that, she took out two throwing knives from her chest, casually tossing them into the wall.
Kingsley blinked, watching Serena's nightgown that revealed a hint of seduction. He was astonished. "Where were you hiding all these things? Can you really conceal weapons in clothing like that?"
"Of course." Serena smiled slyly. "And there's more."
She then untied her gathered long hair and threw a sharp hairpin that glinted in the dim light to the floor.
"Kingsley, remember this. Even if a woman dresses like me to seduce you, you must never let your guard down."
Watching Serena's long, raven-black hair cascading down, Kingsley slowly reached for the doorknob, awkwardly smiling. "Serena, Reene is still sleeping next door. It won't be good if she hears us… Maybe I should go back to my room…"
The tiny flame of desire that had ignited within him was completely extinguished by these chilling weapons.
"Don't you dare leave!" Serena lifted her slender leg, placing a foot on the door, blocking Kingsley inside.
"Reene has already kissed you, but I haven't!" She gazed seductively at Kingsley. "So, let her sleep. It's none of her business what happens in my room."
