Grace was really frightened when she saw Gary laying in front of her.
She felt distressed and guilty seeing her son's condition. Her face paled, and she kept calling out, "Little Gary, are you alright? Can you hear me? Answer me. Gary?"
However, Little Gary did not move at all. He just laid there without answering her. All he wanted was just to sleep.
Heinz quickly came over and squatted down to the ground to check on Little Gary. He really frightened the adults by fainting so suddenly.
Heinz noticed that Little Gary's eyelids were moving, and his beating heart began to calm down a little. He now knew that the boy did it on purpose.
It must be hard for Little Gary, seeing how he faked fainting just because he wanted to sleep.
It looked like he had run out of ideas that he had to use such tricks.
Heinz picked him up and said to Grace and Zachary, "There shouldn't be any serious problems. He's just sleepy. Let me carry him to the room so that he can take a nap."
"Okay." Grace forgot all about propriety that she nodded her head quickly in agreement. "Let him sleep then. He is really tired. He was yawning all the way home. I didn't want him to have the comfort of having things his way but I forgot he was just a young boy and can't really put up with so much."
That's more like it.
Little Gary thought to himself with his eyes closed. Hearing how his mom was still concerned about him, he breathed with a sigh of relief in his heart.
She was still his mother, after all.
Heinz held Little Gary in his arms and looked at the rest of them. He then said, "Why don't you all head to the living room first? Ernest, come. You have a nap too."
"Okay, Dad. I'll be right there." Ernest immediately became energetic when he heard his dad calling him over to go for a nap. He swiftly went to his dad's side and followed him into the house.
Zachary was also shocked about what happened to Little Gary, but his sharp eyes caught the boy's eyelids moving just now.
Of course, such small movements would not escape his sharp eyes.
He just felt a little upset seeing how Little Gary faked fainting.
Could his daughter really be that unlikeable?
However, Little Gary was also a kid with many tricks up his sleeve. Zachary decided to just drop the matter, and he carried Maria into the house.
Grace followed behind them.
"Grace." Zachary tilted his head and took a look at his cousin. Seeing the worry in her eyes, he comforted her. "Grace, don't worry. He didn't really pass out."
"It's not real?" She was surprised for a moment and did not quite understand what he was saying.
He replied, "I saw that his eyes were moving under his eyelids."
"Is that so?"
She was truly surprised to hear that but she could also understand what that meant.
It was not surprising for Little Gary to act this way.
Her eyes then fell onto the father and son trio who were walking into the house. She noticed that Heinz's steps were lighter and Ernest was still following behind rapidly.
Zachary found out that Little Gary faked it, but what about Heinz? She wondered.
"Heinz saw it," Zachary pointed out. "That was why he picked Little Gary up and carried him to rest. Look, he's now showing his fatherly side."
Grace was still a little surprised, but she let out a sigh in her heart. She gave Zachary a sheepish smile and said, "Sorry, Zachary"
