True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 1138

Yvonne looked at Zachary's tall figure from the back in disbelief. She stared blankly for a moment before a smile flashed across her eyes.

Yvonne felt a slight warmth from Zachary's seemingly inconsequential action.

It was akin to encountering a small flame while she walked barefooted in the dark and cold winter. Not only did the flame lit up the pathway for her, but also provided warmth to her freezing body and heart as well.

She stopped and looked at Zachary's back from a distance as she told herself.

Zachary was still Zachary. He was still the same warm and talented Zachary.

At this moment, she also decided that she would never get angry at him no matter how he berated her.

She wouldn't feel hurt at all as long as she could stay with him. Even if he insulted her, she would still feel happy as she knew those were certainly not his real intentions.

Yvonne felt so much warmth from that insignificant action.

She fixed her attention, stepped forward quickly to catch up with Zachary's pace, and entered the car. None of them said anything.

In the parking lot of the supermarket.

Yvonne got off the car, then glanced at Zachary who was still sitting inside, and asked, "Um, the daily necessity you want me to buy, what brand should I get?"

Zachary frowned and glanced at her, "You're familiar with it?"

Yvonne immediately shook her head like a rattle, "How could I be? I've never even seen them before."

Zachary heaved a sigh of relief.

Then, Yvonne simply blurted out, "Zachary, you don't have to doubt me. You have been my only man from the very beginning. I've never gotten intimate with any other men except for you."

Their eyes met, then Zachary sneered, "You're good at lying. Who knows whether you're telling the truth?"

Yvonne was startled. She bit her lips for a bit then laughed, "I know you believe me. You know better than anyone what kind of person I am." "I don't know." Zachary remained indifferent.

Yvonne felt helpless and said softly, "Alright, you don't know. Are you really hoping for me to tell you that I have had intimate contact with other men in the past? Will you really feel comfortable at the thought that I was intimate with other men?"

Zachary's eyes narrowed. He pursed his lips and got out of the car as well.

Yvonne was shocked, "Where are you going?"

Zachary ignored her and headed straight to the entrance of the supermarket.

Soon, he entered the supermarket.

Without saying a word, he pushed a cart. Yvonne could only follow him closely as if she was worried about being left behind the moment she slowed down.

This move successfully pleased Zachary. He smiled slightly with his back facing her.

Thankfully there weren't any other men, otherwise, he might not be able to stop himself from harming her.

Yvonne really didn't know why Zachary took the cart.

After taking a few steps, she suddenly lowered her voice in suspicion and asked, "Zachary, are you planning to buy a cart full of daily necessities? Even though we have not met for seven years, you don't have to punish me to that extent, right? My body won't be able to take it."

Zachary had the urge to strangle her.

He had been pushing the cart because he wanted to buy other things. She just returned to the country after all, so there would be many things that she would need. He didn't think she would misunderstand his intention.

However, even if he were to buy a cart full of those items, he would be okay with it as well.

They would definitely be of use in the long run anyway.

Yvonne saw the corners of his mouth twitch. She didn't know what was on his mind, so she kept quiet. Then she awkwardly twitched her mouth and said, "Okay, suit yourself. Buy however much you wish. Your stamina seems to be quite good anyway."

Her voice wasn't loud, but she sounded as if she was complaining and praising him at the same time, which made him feel flattered.

Any man would've loved to hear such praises.

This was naturally the case for Zachary.

However, he remained silent, so Yvonne shut up pettishly.

It was only until a long time later when he took towels, toothpastes, toothbrushes, as well as some snacks, that she began to realize how awkward the situation just now was.

She couldn't believe that she had actually asked him if he was going to buy a cart worth of those daily necessities.
