True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 1137

Zachary paused for a moment, then looked up at her, "We haven't settled our daily necessities yet, aren't you asking for too much now?"

Yvonne stared embarrassingly at him for a moment, then protested, "This wouldn't delay anything at all, can you let me see her after we've bought it?"

"Then wouldn't that cause a delay?" Zachary asked in return, "How are we going to use them if you meet Maria right after that?"

"Is that the only thing on your mind? I really miss Maria, can you even understand how I feel?" Yvonne blurted out.

"Sorry, I can't," Zachary answered indifferently.

Yvonne fell silent. She felt dejected and her appetite was gone in an instant.

"It's been more than a year anyway, why rush now?" Zachary asked sarcastically.

He thought of how she left Maria with him without warning and disappeared without a trace. Who could understand how he had felt back then?

Furthermore, she didn't even tell him she was pregnant with Maria. They had more than just this problem between them.

Yvonne's heart throbbed and she felt bad, but she took a deep breath and muttered, "I knew you wouldn't go easy on me, so what now? When can I finally meet her?"

She was really dejected because she truly yearned to see her child.

"This week would be impossible," Zachary answered indifferently.

Yvonne was startled. It was only Tuesday. If she wasn't allowed to meet her this week, she would have to wait for five more days.

That was too long.

"What about next week?" She asked again.

"Probably not either." Zachary remained indifferent, "At least Maria didn't say she wanted to see you desperately."

He may have sounded indifferent, but he thought of what Maria said on the phone this afternoon.

Deep down, he wished for them to meet too, but he really couldn't allow that to happen so quickly. This woman was too hateful, so he had to teach her a lesson. She shouldn't be allowed to see her child so easily after dumping her like that.

People have to go through many lessons in life.

Yvonne lowered her head in frustration and put down her cutleries.

Zachary frowned and said coldly, "Hurry up and eat, don't ruin the appetite halfway through again."

These words sounded simple.

However, Yvonne still managed to grasp some sort of hidden meaning.

She looked up at Zachary and couldn't help but glare at him.

Zachary smiled indifferently at how upset she looked; he seemed to be gloating.

"It's useless for you to glare at me. You owed me too much."

"What on earth do I owe you?" Although Yvonne felt guilty, she couldn't help but retort. However, she was well aware of the fact that she owed him a lot, such as a proper break up among others.

"You owe me seven years of loneliness. The best period of a man's youth. You gave me a taste of sex, but stopped me from enjoying it again, don't you think you owe me all these?" Zachary answered deliberately, which left Yvonne speechless.

Only after a long time had passed did she mutter softly, "How difficult would it be for you if you wanted it? I believe that you could have any woman you want at the snap of your finger. Why did you have to wait for me and only me?" "Yvonne," Zachary's face turned cold, "You're the most heartless woman I've ever met."

Yvonne pouted and felt extremely wronged.

Alright, she truly didn't have any conscience. She was indeed heartless.

Perhaps, she had long been pathetic in Zachary's mind. She should consider herself lucky that he hasn't choked her to death by now.

Perhaps she was really being too greedy by continuously rebutting his words.

Yvonne didn't want to talk anymore, nor did she want to irritate him further. She quietly picked up her cutleries to continue eating.

She knew that she had no time to be sentimental, nor was she in the mood to be sentimental.

What she could do, instead, was to try her best and reverse their current situation now. She really didn't want her chance to be with him again to slip away.
