Yvonne wasn't afraid to face Heinz. She smiled in return and responded, "Thank you, Mr. Jones, long time no see. You look as charming as ever."
"Thanks to you, I meet up with Zachary more often now. In comparison with his gloomy aura, my radiant aura certainly makes me appear to be more outstanding," Heinz smiled as he answered. He also took the opportunity to jokingly mock Zachary.
Of course, he was also hinting to Yvonne as to how Zachary hadn't been doing well for the past year.
Although Yvonne didn't wish to admit that she was affected, she still had to admit that what Heinz said truly highlighted the pain that Zachary had to go through.
If she was the one who had caused him all those pain, she would feel even more guilty about it.
She pursed her lips and looked down as she didn't know how to answer Heinz.
Zachary shot a glance at her.
From the corner of Yvonne's eyes, she could easily sense his sharp gaze landing on her.
She took a deep breath and continued to lower her eyes without saying anything.
Zachary responded, "Am I really that bad?"
"You?" Heinz smiled and answered sarcastically, "Of course not, you just happen to be more gloomy than I described. Who was it who often suffered from insomnia due to lovesickness, as well as the fact that he had no one to share his feelings with?"
Zachary's eyes became sharp in an instant. He glanced at Heinz with a warning gaze, "That certainly would not be me."
Naturally, Heinz understood that some jokes simply could not be taken too far. Otherwise, it would only make things awkward.
He smiled and said, "Well, let's stop here. Let me ask you then, Zachary, where are you heading? Is it safe for me to assume that you did this intentionally, considering how you planned to leave with Yvonne immediately after receiving my call just now?"
"Weren't you only going to come in half an hour?" Zachary responded nonchalantly without looking embarrassed at all, "I was just planning to run some errands before you were supposedly due to come over."
"Haha," Heinz laughed as he understood Zachary's actual intent.
They knew each other too well. He looked at Zachary with a mischievous smile, "How should we go about it then? Zachary, now that I'm here, are you planning to make me wait while you run your errands?"
Zachary also gave a half-smile while gazing at Heinz sharply as a silent warning.
Heinz met his gaze and still found nothing wrong with his own behavior. Hence, he smiled at Zachary in return, "Zachary, are you really planning to leave me here and work on your errands now?" "Of course not," Zachary answered while gritting his teeth, "Let's go, I'll get them done later."
"Haha, I know you are a good man who wouldn't forget the principles of being a good host, Zachary. The teaching of the Lowe family is indeed exceptional," Heinz didn't forget to praise Zachary.
Zachary also smiled and said, "Let's go. You talk too much, have you become a chatterbox after having more children?"
"Not really." Heinz belittled himself, "Grace said that I'm loquacious, but at least you make it sound better than it actually is."
Wasn't it still the same?
Zachary glanced at him and turned around.
Yvonne followed closely behind him.
She was still in a trance and couldn't help but ask Zachary, "President, if you're busy, I can help you with your errands instead."
Hearing this, both Zachary and Heinz looked at her at the same time.
Yvonne felt even more confused.
Zachary's gaze changed as it landed on Yvonne's face as if there was a deeper meaning behind it.
Heinz, on the other hand, laughed out loud and said to Yvonne, "Miss Attwood, there are no errands to run, let's go up together."
Yvonne was very persistent. She looked at Zachary as if she was waiting for him to answer.
