True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 1189

However, to Yvonne's surprise, Zachary said to his daughter on the phone, "Maria, Mommy and Daddy are going to Southland for a few days. Tell your grandma that."

"Why are you going to Southland?" Maria suddenly became interested. "I also want to go to Southland."

Zachary paused; he did not have the heart to refuse Maria.

Maria had always been very well- behaved whenever she was with him and his mother; he really wanted to take Maria with them.

However, Yvonne looked at him nervously, and the look in her eyes told him to refuse.

Zachary immediately refused, "No, you have to go to school. You're in primary school now, not kindergarten. You can't just skip school."

"Ugh!" Maria let out a bitter scoff. "I knew it. Yvonne had already taken Daddy's heart away."

Zachary didn't know whether to laugh or cry. He had to admit; it was indeed the case.

Without avoiding her claim, Zachary smiled and

asked, "Isn't this what you want? Your mommy can still win my heart and our family can be together, am I wrong?"

"I...!" Maria paused and didn't say anything for a long time. Finally, she said, "Fine. Just go. I won't ask you to bring me along."

Yvonne also let out a sigh of relief. She was exactly worried about the child's education. Their trip to Southland would take several days. If she played around too much, the child would forget to study. It was not suitable to delay her studies for such a long time in primary school.

Zachary hung up the phone and looked at Yvonne's relaxed face. He asked softly, "Are you worried that it would interfere with Maria's education?"

"Yes." Yvonne nodded. "Fortunately, you don't spoil her to no ends."

Zachary smiled gently as he answered, "I spoiled her for a year. I'm more rational now. Fortunately, my mother is around."

Without his mother's help, Zachary really wouldn't have known how to raise a child. Therefore, he could imagine how hard it was for Yvonne to raise the child alone for five years.

Yvonne's eyes were filled with apology. "I'm sorry, it's all my fault. I handed Maria to you without proper consideration."

Zachary stared at her.

Their eyes met.

Zachary's eyes teared up a little. Because even now, Yvonne was still not willing to tell him the truth even though she was filled with guilt.

She had gone to the United States to treat her illness.

Did she not tell him because she didn't trust him enough?

Zachary blamed himself deep down. Perhaps it was because of his blame that Yvonne did not have much confidence in him.

So she did not reveal the reasons for her departure even until now.

It doesn't matter.

He could understand her.

Zachary smiled and wrapped her in his arms. He said, "Get in bed. It's getting late."

"Okay."

Yvonne nodded.

Even until now, Yvonne still didn't confess.

Zachary wasn't disappointed; his heart ached for her.

Yvonne nestled in his embrace; she felt extremely

warm.

She loved that they fell asleep in each other's embrace.

Yvonne let out a satisfied sigh from the bottom of her heart. It just felt too good. When they were together like this, they didn't have to separate. It was a beautiful scene.

He held her tightly in his arms.

Yvonne looked up and smiled at him.

It was this smile that was sparkling with light, indicating an invitation.
