Celeste was surprised to hear his apology.
Her eyes were filled with tears in an instant as her lips trembled lightly. She felt uncomfortable yet gratified.
"I don't blame you," She shook her head and looked up right into his eyes, "I know that I didn't handle it well and I didn't explain it clearly. I don't blame you. I don't have the right to blame you."
Gary looked at her. He saw that her eyes were filled with tears and her nose was red.
He sighed and hugged her tightly.
They both remained silent as no one said anything.
Gary held her even tighter in his arms. It was as if he wanted their bodies to be tightly glued together just so they would never be apart.
The door was behind Celeste and in front of her was Gary's sturdy body. Even if she didn't say a word, she could still feel his deep regret in his embrace.
Was he regretting what he had done to her?
She was glad that she had made the right judgment.
He would definitely regret it, and he would also apologize.
It turned out that she was right.
He really did do so.
Celeste was a little moved and sad at the same time. Only she herself knew how hard it was for her to persist.
She cried silently in his arms.
However, her warm tears moistened Gary's clothes, causing his body to freeze in an instant.
After calming down a little, he straightened his body and lowered his head to look at Celeste.
Her face and long eyelashes were covered with tears. She looked delicate and pitiful, like a flower in the rain.
"Don't cry."
Gary finally spoke. His voice was hoarse and rough.
Celeste blinked. She pouted and took a deep breath before attempting to suck in all her tears. However, she couldn't hold it back in such a short amount of time.
Gary helped her wipe away her tears. His movements were a little clumsy.
Celeste was touched. She threw herself into his arms and hugged him tightly.
"Celeste?"
Without hearing a response, Gary was a little anxious and he lowered his head to look at her.
Gary's attempt on comforting her backfired.
By just calling her name, Celeste burst into tears.
Gary heaved a sigh of relief and said softly, "If you want to cry, then just let it out."
Celeste put her arms around Gary's waist and muttered, "You're the one who's crying. I'm not that weak."
Gary frowned. He opened his mouth but did not manage to say the words that were forming in his mouth.
"Gary, you're the one who's not strong at all."
She added.
Gary's brows furrowed even more tightly.
Just because he didn't speak didn't mean that he didn't have a temper.
"When you run into any trouble, you run away. You're not mature at all. I thought you had matured in four years, but it turns out that you're just as childish as before. A man? Although you're no longer a virgin, you're still nowhere near a true man."
Gary's back tensed and his whole body went stiff.
He lowered his head and looked at her. His eyes were dark. He felt as though Celeste was ridiculing him and looking down on him.
He narrowed his eyes, and there was some displeasure in his eyes.
Celeste wiped away her tears and looked up at him. No, she stared at him. Her eyes were sparkling due to the tears that had brimmed in her eyes, and she just stared right at him.
"Am I just a child to you?" Gary finally asked coldly.
Celeste blinked and nodded, "Isn't that so?"
