True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 1370

Maria and Ernest talked for a long time on the rooftop. They finally got rid of their grudges, looking more like actual cousins by the time they were done.

"Let's go back and rest," Maria looked at her watch, "It's getting late."

"Let's go," Ernest nodded, "I still have some things to do."

"Then let's go down."

The two of them went downstairs together.

Ernest returned to his room on the third floor.

When Maria went downstairs and passed by Celeste's room, she seemed to have heard something. She was stunned and stood at the door. Suddenly, Celeste's faint voice came from inside, sounding as soft as a kitten's purr.

That very moment, Maria was rooted in place. Then, her face turned beet-red.

She quickly returned to her room and closed the door. Her heart was beating wildly.

It was really incredible.

Gary was acting so unscrupulously inside Celeste's room

She shook her head and laughed before she calmed down. She locked her door, went to take a shower and changed into some fresh clothes. Then, she opened her laptop and began to surf the Internet.

Naturally, she was browsing all the news about Liam.

In the blink of an eye, several hours passed.

The more she looked at it, the more shocked she felt. Liam was really in a tight spot.

Soon, it was two in the morning.

Maria was thirsty, so she got up and went downstairs to get some water.

She walked past Celeste's room and heard faint sounds coming from inside. She was so scared that she tiptoed and dared not make any sound. When she went downstairs and was about to fetch some water, she was suddenly startled by a tall figure.

"Ah!"

"It's me," Ernest clarified.

"You scared me," Maria patted her chest in relief. She didn't expect that Ernest would also come down for some water.

He looked tall and lean in his pajamas, looking quite handsome and well- groomed. His facial features looked even sharper under the dim illumination of the lights.

However, there seemed to be a hint of melancholy and loneliness in his eyes.

Maria was stunned and realized something. She looked upstairs and wondered if Ernest had heard the voices coming from Celeste's room.

If he heard it, he would probably feel even more downcast.

After all, Celeste was the girl he used to like. If he heard her being intimate with Gary, he would definitely feel even more uncomfortable.

When she was in a trance, she heard Ernest say to her softly, "Drink."

Maria immediately came back to her senses and saw that Ernest had poured her a glass of water.

She walked over, picked it up and downed it.

"Thank you," She said.

Ernest smiled and glanced at Maria.

At a distance, Maria found that Ernest had bloodshot eyes. It was obvious that he hadn't been sleeping.

She was startled and couldn't help but ask, "Haven't you slept?"

"I was reading," Ernest explained, "You didn't sleep either, did you?"

"I was browsing the news," Maria also smiled, tacitly admitting the fact that she wasn't asleep yet. She was also frank and told Ernest, "News about Liam."

The corners of Ernest's lips curled up.

Maria sighed, "Now his status is dropping as his fans are reducing. It's difficult for him. It's even difficult for me to read news about him."

"You feel sorry for him?" Ernest raised his eyebrows and poured half a glass of water for himself.

"Yes. You're right," Maria did not hide anything from him. After their chat on the rooftop, they seemed to have become good friends.

This was very strange.

"Do you have any plans?" asked Ernest.

"Yes," Maria said, "I'm going home for a bit."

Ernest grinned, "I figured as much."

"You knew that I would want to go back?"

"Throughout the long vacation, you've stayed here without going anywhere. It's impossible for you to stay here all the time. Furthermore, Liam has already returned. It's possible for you to meet him if you return," Ernest had already expected this.
