True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 1445

Stumped, Liam looked at the girl before him in disbelief. She actually sneaked out in the middle of the night?

Watching her take off her mask, looking very nervous, Liam couldn't calm down for a long time.

It was exactly because she sneaked out that she was very perturbed. Seeing that Liam kept quiet, she also grew anxious.

"Well, if it's inconvenient for you, I can sneak back."

"Don't go back," he quickly said.

Maria immediately heaved a sigh of relief and said with a smile, "Oh right, don't worry. I've bought the contraceptives pill. It will be effective if consumed within 72 hours, which means it's still not too late."

Hearing that, Liam glared at her. He started the car and went back to the underground garage without uttering a word.

Seeing that he didn't say a word, yet he still brought her to his apartment, she was astonished, "You said you wanted to see me earlier. What did you want to tell me about? Don't worry, just say what you want to. I can take it."

She thought since Liam looked for her, it was probably to talk about what happened the day before.

What happened between them was indeed awkward, and she had to take a stand. She didn't want him to feel burdened by it.

Moreover, Liam still didn't say anything.

Which lead Maria to think he was definitely embarrassed, or perhaps he felt bad about it.

"Don't be burdened by that. I really think it was my fault. You don't have to feel that it was your fault or anything. I don't need you to do anything, nor do you have to."

"Shut up," Liam scolded.

Maria immediately stopped talking. When she heard his deep and cold voice, she felt even more embarrassed and concluded that he was definitely troubled by that matter.

She turned to glance at him and noticed he was in a bad mood.

After they entered his place, Maria changed her shoes and brought her big backpack in.

Maria found there were two side dishes as well as a portion of pasta on the dining table. It seemed that they had been there for quite some time.

"You haven't eaten?" She couldn't help but ask, "You'll have problems if you don't have your meals on time."

Liam pursed his lips and replied with a hum. Then, he looked at Maria and said softly, "I don't have the appetite."

It was still that. Because he slept with her, he didn't even have the appetite to eat.

Maria lowered her eyes slightly as she replied softly, "Life still goes on; you have to eat no matter what. I really don't blame you for yesterday. If you think I'm an eyesore, I'll leave immediately, and I promise to never appear in front of you ever again."

"No, it's not like that." He immediately denied it. Realizing Maria may have misunderstood him, he quickly added, "You're not an eyesore."

Taken aback, the stuffiness within her was instantly gone. She sized him and noticed he seemed to have something he was reluctant to say.

"Are you sick?"

"No." Liam shook his head.

He just felt uneasy, but he felt much better after meeting her.

"Did you not go out?" Maria asked in surprise. "Did you stay at home all day?"

"I went to the supermarket and bought some food," he said lightly, "and then I came back after that."

"How boring," Maria murmured as she was puzzled by his actions. She tugged her lips in embarrassment as a thought suddenly flashed across her mind. She felt upset when she thought he was at his lowest being set aside by his management team.

Being completely shelved and hopeless, he would only feel even more upset if he went out.

"It's indeed a little boring." Surprisingly, he was gentle, not angry at all. "I used to be surrounded by people everywhere I go. But nobody recognizes me anymore. No one would even take a second look at me if I put a mask on."

"Don't worry about it," Maria said. "Life is full of ups and downs. When you make a comeback, you'll definitely become an A-lister. I believe in you, Liam Robinson."

Liam tugged his lips and chuckled. It was as if he took it as a joke.

"Don't laugh. I'm serious. It's not flattery." Maria explained seriously.

"Why do you think so?" He felt the girl in front of him was too kindhearted. She would actually comfort him.

"Because you continued your studies at the peak of your career. Not everyone could do that." Maria praised from the bottom of her heart, "I truly admire your courage to be able to resist such a strong temptation."

Dazedly, a warm but forlorn smile appeared on his face as his gaze fell on her innocent, beautiful face.

It was his choice to further his studies, but if his management company didn't allow him, he couldn't go either.
