True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 1448

Zachary, who was usually calm and composed, was so shocked by the news that he couldn't come to his senses for a long time. Surprised yet worried, he looked at his wife for quite some time before he finally said, "You're pregnant again?"

"It's all your fault." Yvonne sighed. "If you didn't do it so frequently, I wouldn't be pregnant again. This is so embarrassing! My heart flipped when Maria asked me for another sibling a few days ago. Then when I noticed my period hadn't come, I did a test only to find it positive."

"Honey, let's keep the baby," Zachary said with a smile. "We can afford to raise another one."

"What about your daughter then?" Yvonne looked at him. "Your mind is fully on her. Where would you have the time to care about me?"

"If she wants to date, then so be it. I'm just worried she would suffer a loss." Zachary said his worries. "Did you not see the hickeys on her neck?"

"I did," Yvonne said. "They're at the prime of their age; they surely have their needs. Do you expect them to suppress themselves?" "But what if their relationship ends on a sour note?" Zachary was worried about his daughter's future. That was the nature of a father.

"What if it doesn't?" Yvonne asked in return. "Wouldn't your actions be unnecessary? Don't you think our six-year breakup was a pity?"

Zachary sighed after hearing her words. "I do. Every day within those six years was a torment to me."

"So, Maria's happiness is in her hands," Yvonne said. "She will have to go to England soon. When the boy sent her back in the middle of the night that day, I could tell he's courteous. Most celebrities are usually arrogant, but he's decent."

"You knew he's a celebrity?"

"You seem to know more than I do." Yvonne was surprised.

Zachary immediately avoided her gaze, "Let's not talk about them. We should tell Mom about it now. She'd be happy about the news."

"Let's go to the hospital to confirm before telling Mom," Yvonne said.

The two of them then went to the hospital.

After Maria hung up the phone, she immediately switched it off.

Due to the distance, Liam also heard the conversation. He looked at Maria as she switched off her phone and said, "Your mom seems to be easier to deal with than your dad."

Taken aback, Maria thought for a while before saying, "Hey, do you think my mom has a hunch on our relationship?"

"Probably." Liam nodded. They've been where he and Maria were at, so it was a no-brainer that they knew.

"But she didn't say anything." Maria then muttered, "She sure is carefree. She didn't even miss me when she threw me to my dad for a year and a half."

Liam felt a tightness in his heart as he pulled her into his arms. "When was that?"

"When I was five." Maria said, "My mom got pregnant with me after sleeping with my dad once. Then she fled to another country while pregnant, and I stayed there until I was five. My dad discovered my mom once, but she ran away because she was afraid. Later, she got sick, so she left me with my dad. It was then that I became annoying. I would mess with my cousins, so they didn't like me."

Liam pursed his lips and looked at her. "I think you're adorable."

Maria was stunned for a second before she smiled. "Your words are comforting, thank you."

How unexpected. He didn't hate her.

"Um, I want to sleep for a little while. Can you not hug me so tightly?" She muttered. He was hugging her so tightly that she could feel a change in his body.

Maria then moved a bit, trying to get away.

But because of that, Liam gasped.

Almost immediately, Maria looked up at him in shock. When she saw his blazing gaze, her whole body suddenly trembled.

The look in his eyes was dangerous and deep.

Maria was terrified by that gaze. "Liam, don't tell me you want to do it again!"

He took a deep breath and nodded, admitting frankly.

"Ah!" Maria exclaimed as he pressed her under his body.

The man's dangerous and domineering look scared her, yet it also warmed her at the same time.

Although she was exhausted, she still felt blissful.

It seemed he liked her as well, didn't he?

Her small figure looked even more adorable, trapped beneath him. Blushed, she looked away as she muttered, "Aren't you tired at all?"

"No." He replied softly.

Maria was dumbstruck for a moment before she wrapped her arms around his neck.

She took the initiative to kiss him.

Afterward, she wanted to back down as she felt embarrassed.

However, Liam chuckled and whispered, "Don't be afraid. Just like that."

To her surprise, he wasn't angry at all. It seemed that he wanted her to do so.

"Do whatever you want." Liam encouraged her. "Don't be afraid."

Just like that, Maria's mind became foggy.

The only thing she knew was that Liam really liked how she actively kissed him.
