True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 1451

Ten at night.

Only then did Liam bring Maria home. She was still asleep when they arrived at her house.

She was worn out.

She just wanted to sleep. They did another two rounds, and now Maria felt as if her body was falling apart.

She didn't want to think about anything else anymore. All she wanted to do was to have a good rest.

Seeing that she was still asleep, Liam caressed her cheek and said softly. "Maria, we're here. Wake up."

Blearily, she realized they were indeed at her house. She stretched but couldn't help gasping in pain. Her whole body hurt.

She looked at him resentfully, leading him to smile. "Do you feel sore?"

"I want to be a man in my next life," Maria grumbled, "I don't want to be a woman anymore."

"I'll pick you up tomorrow morning, okay?" Liam chuckled.

Stunned, she shook her head and said, "No, I want to sleep in. Don't come first."

Hearing that, he was a little disappointed. He then asked, "Till when are you going to sleep?"

"I'll give you a call," Maria yawned. She felt lazy all over, "You should go back and have a good rest too. I really should go in now."

Her muscles ached all over. Who would've thought he was so full of energy. She was tortured nearly the whole day and she felt as if her body was falling apart.

After that, she got out of the car and walked straight into her home groggily, not even turning back once to look at Liam.

"Hey," Maria had already left before he could say anything more.

Seeing her left so hurriedly, he frowned. Didn't she say she liked him? Why was she running away?

He was left doubting whether Maria really loved him or not. She was obviously trying to escape from him.

How was that considered being in love with him?

It wasn't until Maria reached the main door that she looked back. She realized she had left too quickly, and it wasn't right for her not to at least say goodbye to him.

Thus, she walked back to his car. Just when Liam was about to leave, he immediately got out when he saw her coming.

The both of them stood facing each other.

Liam couldn't control his wildly beating heart as he asked in a trembling voice, "Why did you come back?"

"I forgot to say goodbye to you. I wanted to come back and tell you that," Maria mumbled.

"It's okay," Liam smiled as he shook his head. She came back, in the end, so he was no longer annoyed, "Go on in, have a good rest."

Only then did Maria turn around reluctantly. But just as she was about to walk away, Liam grabbed her from behind.

He pulled her into his arms and whispered in her ear, "You must call me when you wake up tomorrow, okay?"

Feeling his warm breath on her ear, Maria couldn't help trembling a little. She nodded and said shyly, "Okay."

Liam hugged her tightly before he finally let her go in.

Maria noticed the atmosphere at home didn't seem quite right as soon as she entered. Only her father and grandmother were downstairs. Her mother wasn't there, and so was her brother, but she wasn't surprised as the little fella usually slept early.

Her heart did a flip when she realized her father looked upset. "Dad, Grandma, I'm home."

"You still remembered you have a home? Do you know what time it is?" Zachary asked in a grave voice.

Maria knew she wouldn't be left off easily. But where was her mother?

She looked towards the stairs leading to the second floor. Why wasn't mom present to save her?

"You ran out in the middle of the night and didn't come back until now. Maria, is his how a lady should act?" Zachary continued his lecture.

Because she knew she was in the wrong, so she naturally didn't dare retort. "Dad, it'll never happen again."

Perhaps because Maria's attitude was alright, Zachary became more gentle. "You came back just in time. I have something to tell you."

Maria immediately looked at her grandmother, trying to determine if it was bad news.

But when she saw her grandmother's smiling face, she thought it was probably something good. So she relaxed immediately.

"Your mom is pregnant." "What?" Maria was really surprised, and then she became excited. "Really? That's great! I should congratulate you all. I'll go upstairs and see mom now."

She wanted to use this opportunity to escape. She didn't want to stay with her father for too long in case she revealed too much.

Maria quickly dashed upstairs.

"Hold up," Zachary said solemnly, "I'll go upstairs with you."
