True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 1512

That pair of arms that used to hold her tightly.

He actually came to the convenience store.

Celeste's heart was pounding. But she soon realized that she might have overreacted.

She calmed herself down, collected her thoughts, and placed her umbrella in one of the stands outside of the convenience store.

Acting as though she hadn't seen him, Celeste took a shopping basket and entered the store. Somehow, she felt a sharp gaze piercing through her back.

Gary's gaze had never left her. After Celeste entered the store, he wondered if she had seen him, but he had no choice but to follow her in fear of losing her.

He followed her into the store, placed the umbrella as she did outside, and picked up a shopping basket.

He followed her closely, afraid that she would disappear from his sight the very next second.

He noticed that Celeste had a shopping list with her.

Celeste headed directly towards the aisle that had sanitary pads.

She stood in front of the shelves, reaching out to one of the sanitary pads to read the information on the packaging.

She took a large pack, placed it in the basket before reaching for several smaller ones.

Gary caught this from the corner of his eyes. The tampons were differentiated between day and night use.

Soon, Celeste left the aisle.

Her back was facing towards him. Her short hairstyle couldn't cover her ears, so it was obvious that her ears were slightly red.

Her neck was slender, pale and beautiful. She remained incredibly beautiful with short hair.

Her neck was hidden in the collar of her loose sweater, and he could make out the soft lines against her neck.

Gary kept staring at her.

He saw her pick up a few bags of chips after purchasing the sanitary pads.

It was when he saw her buying snacks did he realize that he never bought her any snacks before. Girls loved eating snacks.

In the past, Janice would frequently bring snacks

over when she visited them for meals.

Thinking of Janice, Gary snorted and laughed at himself. He had overlooked the entire situation.

He deserved it.

He had never bought snacks for Celeste. During the whole summer vacation, he hadn't even once bought her snacks.

He observed her as she took the snacks and placed them in the shopping basket. He then copied what she did.

He took a bunch of different brands of chips and placed them in his shopping basket.

As he chose his share of snacks, his gaze never left Celeste's figure, fearing that he would lose her.

Celeste noticed that he was also standing in the snack aisle.

In fact, she felt uncomfortable once she noticed it. She bought the snacks so she could share them with Maria at night.

Since she came home, she and Maria would often meet up and chat. She would get hungry in the middle of the night and crave some snacks, so she bought some. Maria would definitely like them.

Gary was staring at her, which made her feel uncomfortable. She didn't know what he was trying to do, so she chose not to ignore him.

She turned to look at him, and their eyes met.

He felt embarrassed as though he was a deer caught in headlights, "Celeste..."

"You're here?" Celeste spoke indifferently. There was a slight discomfort in her tone, polite but cold.

"Yes." He nodded, his heart sinking, "I came to do some grocery shopping."

"You're also craving for some snacks?" Celeste asked.

"Mhm." The corner of his lips lifted into a feeble, awkward smile.

Celeste continued selecting her snacks.

She no longer looked at him.

On the other hand, Gary continued staring at her as he tried to see through her mind. Was she mad?

Was she mad that he had followed her there?

Gary was about to say something but Celeste had already left.

She went to the other aisle to grab a bag of potato chips.

Gary copied her movements. He reached out to grab another bag of chips that was on the same

shelf.

As he passed by another shelf, he spotted a box of brown sugar, which he then proceeded to place two of into his basket.

His actions were swift.

Celeste had everything she needed and went to pay the bill.

She didn't wait for him, intending to leave the store once she paid the bill.

Gary quickly followed suit to the checkout counter.

Celeste turned around to look at him and asked, slightly frowning, "You have everything you need?"

"Yes." Gary nodded.

Celeste was stunned before she continued, "Then you can go ahead and settle your bill. I suddenly remembered that I have a few other items to buy."

She turned around and left the cashier.

Gary immediately intercepted her, "I remembered that I need to get a few things too."

He didn't pay the bill and quickly followed her.
