Gary stared at Celeste blankly and a look of anticipation flashed across his eyes.
He really felt that there was a need for him to be patient with her this time. He could not get overly anxious.
He was still not confident enough when it came to Celeste. He was not confident enough to control his own emotions and actions towards her.
He knew that he always lacked self-control upon facing Celeste.
As of now, after a few hard days of work, Gary finally understood that Celeste was actually a kind and self-abasing girl.
She was afraid, and yet, she still could not help but get close to him. This was why he felt that they had a promising future.
Celeste lowered her head. Even though she didn't look at Gary, she could sense that Gary was looking at him. Just how long did he want to stare at her?
When she finally lost her patience, Gary spoke.
"Celeste, continue studying," Gary gently said to her, "I'm going upstairs to take a shower and change my clothes."
"Okay." Celeste nodded as if she felt relieved. She continued to read the documents. She looked through it carefully and did not waste any time at all.
Gary looked at her thoughtfully one last time before he turned around to leave.
When he stepped into Celeste's bedroom, a trace of deep remorse flashed in his eyes.
The room was clean, and her scent lingered in the room. It was sweet and clean. He blinked and took a deep breath of air that was infused with Celeste's body fragrance.
The faint fragrance poured into his heart, and it felt bittersweet.
He thought of himself taking care of Celeste for over a week in the past.
Back then, Celeste laid on the bed. The two of them were very quiet. They did not even speak to each other.
Now that he came back, Celeste could at least get along with him quietly, which meant that he must not have screwed it up completely.
Upon opening his eyes, Gary got himself together and made a phone call.
"Send me a few sets of clothes. I'll send you the measurements. Yes, clothes for both men and women. Also, send us some food. I will send you the address and requirements later."
He quickly hung up the phone and sent the message. After that, he went into the bathroom.
Half an hour later, he was done washing up. Just as he was about to take the bath towel, he suddenly thought that Celeste needed to use it, and there was only a singular towel in the bathroom.
It seemed that Celeste had put his set away.
He walked out to the cloakroom to look for his clothes.
However, after opening it, he found that his clothes were gone. He was stunned and quickly looked through everything in the closet. But he only found a pair of pants, which were even wrapped inside a quilt.
Where did his clothes go?
After he put on his pants, Gary went downstairs to look for Celeste.
He reached the door of the study room and knocked on the door.
Celeste raised her head and immediately blushed when she saw Gary.
He was not wearing any clothes and was only wearing a pair of trousers. There was even water dripping from his body. His hair was wet, which stuck to his forehead. The weather was so cold, but he was only wearing that.
Celeste immediately stood up and looked at him. She said unhappily, "Did you come down just like this? What if you catch a cold? Why aren't you wearing any clothes?"
Gary smiled and said innocently, "I couldn't find my clothes anywhere."
Celeste was stunned and suddenly thought of something. Her face turned red from embarrassment.
"Celeste, did you throw all my clothes away?" Gary asked with a smile.
His handsome face had been washed in the bathroom for almost half an hour. When he came out, his face was a little bit red. When he looked at Celeste, there was a red flush on his face.
Celeste told him, "I didn't."
Actually, she wanted to throw Gary's clothes away. However, after thinking over it for a long time, she still felt that she shouldn't.
"Then, where are my clothes? I couldn't find them. I searched the entire room, but I couldn't find any clothes," Gary said innocently, "I thought you hated me so much that you threw my clothes away." "No," Celeste walked over quickly and said in a low voice, "I've put it away for you. I'll go upstairs to find it for you now."
She walked over as she spoke.
When her eyes gazed at him, she quickly looked away. His muscles made Celeste's heart tighten. She dared not look at him.
