True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 1539

Looking at Celeste's serious yet calm expression, Gary finally understood what it meant to block his own path. He was annoyed at the person who said those words.

Now, he was unsure whether Celeste would let him rest with her or not, but he did not want to miss such an opportunity, so he smiled and asked Celeste, "Celeste, what if I tell you that I have changed my mind?"

Celeste frowned. She looked at his cheeky face, gave him a cold glare, and walked out of the cloakroom.

What did she mean by ignoring his question?

Gary looked at Celeste's departing figure and followed her from behind. Was it a tacit admission?

Celeste did not refuse him, and this thought instantly surprised Gary.

"Celeste, you've agreed, right?" Gary asked her cautiously from behind.

She immediately closed the door of her bedroom to try to keep Gary out.

However, his hands and feet were too fast, and he stopped her from closing the door.

The door could not be closed at all.

She could only look up at him, and her face was completely filled with embarrassment and accusations.

"Gary, don't forget that we have already broken up," Celeste reminded Gary with a red face.

Faced with Celeste and her cold attitude, the surprise in Gary's eyes gradually faded away. A hint of embarrassment flashed across his eyes, but then he shook his head and said, "Yes, we did break up. But Celeste, I told you that I will start pursuing you again."

Celeste pursed her lips and answered in a deep voice, "Then, only think about that after you've succeeded in pursuing me."

Seeing how cold she was, Gary's hand froze on the door. He paused for a moment before he pulled his hand back, and the door slammed shut.

The two of them stood still on the spot. Each on different sides of the door.

Gary took a deep breath. It seemed that he was still too anxious. He couldn't change his attitude.

He had hit a hard wall.

He turned around angrily and went downstairs to the study room. When he arrived, he found that there was not even a quilt in the study room. In fact, there was not even a place to sleep there. Even if he wanted to sleep there, he could only sleep on the floor.

He went upstairs again and took a quilt from the closet of the cloakroom, then brought it downstairs and prepared to sleep on the sofa.

Ever since Celeste closed the door, she did not move. She stood by the door and heard Gary's footsteps leaving. He soon came up again. She heard the sound of him entering and leaving the cloakroom, and soon the sound of him going downstairs could be heard again.

Celeste took a deep breath. She told herself that she could not compromise. She could not compromise no matter what.

Their relationship had always been fragile. If this went on and got even more complicated, they would never be able to go far.

She was glad that she was the rational one right now.

She returned to the bed and continued to study for a while.

It was getting late. She yawned and felt sleepy. She was ready to go to bed, so she covered herself with the warm quilt. Suddenly, she remembered that the study room did not have a bed.

Celeste could not sleep soundly anymore.

There was only one bed in this house. How could Gary sleep in the study room?

There weren't any extra quilts for him to sleep on the floor. Celeste could not help but worry. This was such a hard decision. She had clearly refused him, but she could not help herself from caring about him.

As such, she immediately got up, tiptoed to open the door and went to the cloakroom to find the quilt. She found that the thin quilt had been taken away.

It seemed that he had decided to sleep downstairs. Perhaps she had thought too much.

At the thought of that, Celeste felt a little guilty.

At this time of the night, the temperature was a little cold. After Celeste went downstairs, she saw Gary's tall body lying on the sofa.

His legs were very long, and his body was also very long. It made the sofa look tiny.

The quilt was very thin, and he looked extremely tired. His eyes were closed and he was rubbing his eyebrows. She could tell that he was fatigued.

Celeste stood by the stairs and stared at him for a while. Then, she opened her mouth and said, "Gary."

Upon hearing her voice, Gary suddenly widened his eyes as he stared at Celeste, who was standing by the stairs.

She was standing by the stairs and looking at him. At that moment, his eyes were filled with warmth. He asked in a gentle manner, "Celeste, what's wrong? Why aren't you asleep yet?"

Celeste met his burning gaze and said with a serious face, "It's really cold. It's not appropriate for you to sleep downstairs, so bring your quilt and come up."

Gary was slightly stunned. "You've agreed to let me sleep in the same room as you."
